INVESTING IN OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE As a former school principal, I know just how important a good education is for any child's future. Over the last 4 years, even in the teeth of the financial collapse, Labour prioritised investment in children through building new schools and extensions. There are now 16 schools in our area which have had funding approved, or have new schools or extensions under construction or already built. These are part of a €434 million investment in Dublin schools which Labour prioritised under Ministers Ruairí Quinn and Jan O'Sullivan because we understand how important our children's education is for their future, and the future of the country.
