My own specific role as Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade is the rebuilding of Ireland’s reputation which was severely damaged during the recession. Ireland’s reputation must be restored if we are to maximise our trade, get inward investment and jobs and successfully negotiate with the EU, ECB and IMF.
