On foot or on wheels, the Lac La Biche Region is yours to explore.
Lakefront Walking Path: Park at McArthur Park and head west to the statue of David Thompson or east all the way to Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park.
Boardwalk Trail at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park: Begin with a boardwalk and end with a beach, climbing and winding through centuries-old woods.
Long Point Trail at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park: Hike to the western tip of the park’s main island, admiring panoramic lake views and old-growth forest.
ATV and Snowmobile Trails in Lakeland Provincial Park & Provincial Recreation Area: The protected primeval wilderness east of Lac La Biche has 140 kilometres of trails for off-road vehicles and four staging areas, giving access to remote backcountry camping and day-use sites. Mosquito Lake Trail at Lakeland Provincial Park: Don’t let the name deter you. The longest hiking trail in the park connects Shaw, McGuffin and Jackson Lakes, with backcountry campsites along the way.
