For a natural skating experience with less distance, try the skating oval on the frozen pond in Alexander Hamilton Park.
SNOWMOBILING
Put the boundless backcountry ahead of you; leave your cares and sled tracks behind you. The wilds of Lakeland Provincial Park & Provincial Recreation Area boast a combined 140 kilometres of trails to explore.
Take a guided snowmobile tour in the Lac La Biche Region with Off Road Adventures. See page 7.
SNOWSHOEING
Since time immemorial, Indigenous peoples have used snowshoes to travel across snowbound landscapes. They’re now used for wintertime trekking by people from all walks of life (no pun intended).
You can rent snowshoes from the Bold Center. Call (780) 623-3829 or visit the multiplex’s front desk for details.
WINTER FESTIVAL OF SPEED
