CROSS COUNTRY CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Under a blanket of snow, sometimes the only sound in the boreal forest is the whisper of skis over powder. Glide across the winter landscape, lose yourself in the movement and let the full-body exertion keep the chill at bay.

WHERE TO SKI

Groomed ski trails can be found at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park and Beaver Lake Provincial Recreation Area’s Group Use site.

An extensive network of groomed trails, ranging from beginner-level to challenging, weaves through the woods at Shaw Lake Day Use Area in Lakeland Provincial Park (see opposite).
