Beginner Pickleball Clinic

This Pickleball Clinic is for beginner players. If you have would like to try this popular sport, this clinic, run by a certified coach, will teach basic skills, drills, and game play with an emphasis on fun and more advance shots, as well and as how and when to incorporate them into a game.Equipment will be supplied, or you can bring your own.

Dates: Saturday, September 24 Time: 9 am - 12:30 pm Location: Bold Center – Cenovus Fieldhouse Cost: $35 Ages: Players must be at least 16 years of age to play

Intermediate Pickleball Clinic

This Pickleball Clinic is for intermediate or more advanced players. If you are already a player and want to improve your game, this clinic, run by a certified coach, will teach skills, drills, and game play with an emphasis on fun and more advance shots, as well and as how and when to incorporate them into a game. Equipment will be supplied, or you can bring your own.

Elevating Sport Supports & Sport Tourism in Lac La Biche

With a keen interest to evolve and enhance Lac La Biche County’s capacity to attract and host major sporting events, while raising the community’s profile to attract new residents, businesses, and tourism to the region, we are working closely with local community and sport groups to build community capacity and supports to hosting local and regional tournaments and events as a first step.

After conducting an online survey and initial community conversation with nonprofit community and sport groups this past spring, the Recreation & Culture department has been developing resources to help support non-profit clubs, groups and associations:

• Lac La Biche County Community Highlight sheet – Get Your Game On! (hosting/bids) • Sport and Recreation and Cultural grant spreadsheets • Training, resources, toolkits and courses (from board development, coaching, grant writing, etc.) • Detailed maps and listings for all recreation facilities, venues and accommodations for bid submissions (in progress) • Cross-promotion of events, advertising opportunities and successes shared within
