Univerity of Maryland Mckeldin Mall was a team project that aimed to inspire a campus renovation in order to accomodate the proposed Purple Metro line. The displayed design aimed to increase activity-versitile spaces, re-organize pedestrian circulation and increase in vegetation.

Buzzard Point The goal of the Buzzard Point project was to transform an existing shipping yard into a new and thriving extention to Yard’s Park and establish a cohesive, engaging and sustainable D.C. waterfront district.

Watermark Condominiums Watermark was a 2 week project designed to treat and manage stormwater runoff on the Condiminium property for present and future use.

Often times, landscape architecture is referred to as the ‘extension of a building’ and in some ways, that’s true. We do have the ability to shift focus from the intricacies of a building and direct it towards nature’s design, but that’s not all it can be. To me, landscape architecture is more than changing the landscape in a way that people can find comfort within nature. Nature is the basis for our physical, psychological and metaphysical understandings, offering knowledge, power and true solutions to our environmental mistakes. I believe that understanding nature is the key to understanding ourselves as human beings and how to adjust to the rapidly advancing world we live in. Landscape architecture is not jsut the extension of a building; it is an extension of ourselves--of our culture, ambition and potential to further our understanding of the connection we share with both the environment and with each other.
