On Oct. 8, the St. Louis Learning Disability Association hosted its Unlock the Magic of Learning event at Brookdale Farms. The nonprofit seeks to enhance the understanding and acceptance of learning disabilities, as well as spread knowledge to both parents and professionals. The fundraising event helps to fund the organization’s services while providing entertainment for children and parents alike. This year, children enjoyed bounce houses, balloon animals, temporary tattoos and Disney princess meet-and-greets, while parents bid on silent auctions. Guests were also treated to fine dining and dessert by Andre’s Catering. The evening’s chairpersons were Sheryl Silvey and James Hartman.
