Art Night Out is a free, family-friendly community event that runs monthly from May through September along Public Road in Old Town. This year the event will be held on the 2nd Friday of each month from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Lafayette produced craft beer, Colorado musicians, food trucks, kids’ activities, an assortment of rotating street entertainers, and the new Art Market set the Art Night Out summer art series apart from other local festivals. Join your friends and neighbors every month for a fun and entertaining Art Night Out. Learn more at cityoflafayette.com/ANO.
u NEW Farmers Market Launching in June! An exciting collaboration with Boulder County Farmers Markets (BCFM) will offer Lafayette residents a new, weekly, producer-only farmers market beginning in June. BCFM’s three decades of experience supporting local agriculture and making fresh products accessible to area consumers will enhance Lafayette’s access to locally grown, healthy food. The new market will be centrally located in the Lafayette Florist parking lot. This Old Town setting offers a visible presence and provides a convenient and accessible location for the community. Walking and biking to the market is encouraged. A free bike valet service will be available for shoppers. In addition to the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of locally grown produce and packaged products, you’ll be able to join your friends and neighbors at the Lafayette Farmers Market to enjoy live music, a beer garden, chef demonstrations, kids’ activities, and more! We’re still working to finalize the day of the week the market will be held – so stay tuned.

Lafayette Task Force
In January, a seven member task force was appointed to take a look at the current housing situation and market needs of the Lafayette community. These members, led by City Councilors Walton and Lynch, set out to recommend goals and policies which focus on providing and encouraging housing for all ages and lower income levels. The task force created a webpage (cityoflafayette.com/LivableLafayette) to provide the community with information and presentations accumulated throughout this process. Residents are encouraged to review the findings available on this webpage and follow updates over the next several months. A final report will be presented to City Council in July.
