NOUÉ Experience a real Jersey Christmas in St Helier with traditional markets, dazzling parades and many more seasonal delights. Our event-packed mid-winter celebration derives its name from the local Jersey Norman-French language and translates as ‘The Christmas Festival’. La Fête dé Noué delivers a variety of heartwarming, festive and family celebrations, and this year promises to be the best yet. Events and activities on offer include the Christmas Lights Switch On, the Simply Christmas Royal Square Markets, the Norman-French Market, Ice Skate Jersey, St Helier Angels and much more!

Simply Christmas Royal Square Markets
6th - 9th & 13th - 16th December Royal Square Free Entry Gather your friends and family and immerse yourself in Christmas cheer at this year’s Simply Christmas markets in St Helier’s Royal Square. Showcasing over 40 of Jersey’s finest artisans, Simply Christmas brings you a labyrinth of stalls oozing with festive magic, beautiful gifts and tasty treats. With hot food and live music, it’s the perfect place to buy unique gifts directly from the artisans who have created and produced them. The markets are located in the historic Royal Square in the centre of St Helier, just a few minutes’ walk from the central bus station. Christmas Lights Switch-On Parade
From 6pm | 22nd November View Points: Millennium Town Park, West’s Centre, Royal Square & Weighbridge Place Free Event Join us for a magical evening in St Helier, full of festive fun. Come to see Santa’s Parade, accompanied by a brass band, Le Petit Train and festive characters, as they travel from Millennium Town Park at 6pm, through the town centre, switching on the lights as they go. The Parade will pause at West’s Centre, King Street, the Royal Square and the Weighbridge for Santa to switch on the Christmas lights. facebook.com/sthelierevents
The Jersey Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade
From 4.45pm | 9th December View Points: Maritime House, Aquasplash, the Overpass, Liberty Wharf, Pomme D’or, Liberation Square, the Esplanade Free Event A delightful Christmas spectacle with many floats forming a colourful procession through the streets of St Helier. The floats are festooned in twinkling lights, and include people and children dancing or walking in costume to help specators get into the Christmas spirit. www.battleofflowers.com
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
St Helier’s shopping centre has an excellent mix of well-known high street stores, independent local boutiques and department stores. In the run-up to Christmas a large number of retailers will be open until 9pm on Thursdays and 10am to 5pm on Sundays. The ‘Sunday Shopping Experience’ is a rare occurrence in Jersey where there is limited trading permitted on a Sunday.

You can find the St Helier Angels on Don Street every Saturday and Sunday in the run-up to Christmas. From Saturday 24th November to Sunday 16th December, 12pm - 4pm. The group of friendly volunteers are here to add to the festive atmosphere in St Helier. The Angels will be waiting to assist shoppers, visitors and groups by providing information on Christmas activities and events and they will even carry your shopping to your car. Soup Kitchen
From 10.30am | 4th December Royal Square £3 Donation The Shelter Trust for the Homeless in Jersey will be holding its annual fund raising Soup Kitchen, with around 40 different soups on offer provided by the Island’s top restaurants, hotels and local chefs.
