In linea con la filosofia LAGO Interior Life, che mira a comporre spazi vitali in armonia con la vita interiore, abbiamo progettato LAGO INTERIOR MOOD. Sono proposte di ambienti che raccontano una storia, una personalità, un modo di intendere gli ambienti domestici e non, ma anche la vita. Nascono da uno studio sul contemporaneo e dalla volontà di interpretare i bisogni concreti della società di oggi, non senza una certa dose di poesia e ironia. Sono proposte e soluzioni per personalizzare i vostri spazi e farli diventare luoghi d’ispirazione costante, dando vita ad ambienti emozionanti e di alta vivibilità, sempre caratterizzati dall’“Home Feeling”. 2

In line with the LAGO Interior Life philosophy, which aims to design dynamic spaces in harmony with our interior lives, we have created LAGO INTERIOR MOOD. Settings that tell a story, that express a personality and a way of understanding domestic environments and more, as well as life. These settings emerge from our study of the contemporary world and a desire to interpret the concrete needs of society today, with a healthy dose of poetry and irony. They are ideas and solutions for personalising your spaces and making them into places of constant inspiration, creating emotional, highly liveable settings always characterised by a â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;home feelingâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;. DEVOTION HOME è la casa della devozione alle proprie passioni e al proprio lavoro, che traduce negli interni domestici il concetto di cura e affetto, dove i molteplici elementi si accordano all’unisono in un rapporto di frequenza armonico. La coralità dei componenti si esprime attraverso una palette cromatica organizzata in gradienti di colori posti in ordine lineare. Oggetti e complementi selezionati per DEVOTION HOME esprimono il desiderio di costruire e seguire un proprio rituale, ottenuto dall’utente attraverso una ricomposizione personale, che in questo modo può produrre un’ampia gamma di esiti combinatori e una certa “unicità” del prodotto finito. 4

DEVOTION HOME: a home expressive of devotion to one’s passions and work, translating the concept of care and affection into domestic interiors, where the various elements all chime together in unison in a relationship of harmonic frequency. The chorality of the components is expressed through a colour palette organised in gradations of hues set up in linear order. The objects and complementary accessories selected for DEVOTION HOME express the desire to create and follow one’s own ritual, built by the user through a personal reorganisation, which can in turn produce a wide range of combinations, lending a certain ‘uniqueness’ to the final result. CURIOSITY HOME traduce negli interni domestici il desiderio di scoperta e di trasformazione. Con l’atteggiamento del ricercatore chi abita lo spazio “casa” si muove per trovare risposte ai dubbi che minano il suo precario equilibrio e che lo spingono a cercare una trasformazione del proprio ambiente domestico. CURIOSITY HOME esprime la volontà di cambiamento grazie a elementi decorativi geometrici, rigorosi e modulabili che garantiscono un certo grado di personalizzazione. Il rapporto certezza/dubbio, alla base di ogni ricerca personale, viene espresso attraverso la giustapposizione di decori regolari e schematici con oggetti e complementi di arredo etnici che aprono a nuove ispirazioni e prospettive.

CURIOSITY HOME: a home that translates the desire for discovery and transformation into domestic interiors. With the stance of searchers, the people who live in the ‘home’ space are motivated by the desire to find answers to the questions that undermine their precarious equilibrium, inspiring them to seek out a transformation of their own domestic space. CURIOSITY HOME expresses the volition to change through geometric, rigorous and modulable decorative elements that ensure a certain degree of customisation. The certainty/uncertainty relationship, at the foundation of personal searching, is expressed through the juxtaposition of regular, schematic decor with ethnic objects and accessories that open up new paths of inspiration and perspectives.

WISDOM HOME: a home about simplicity and authenticity, as well as a space that stimulates a constructive, harmonic rapport with nature, its colours and its textures. WISDOM HOME is the home of those with a state of consciousness and good sense through which they can establish a balanced relationship with the environment they live in, building it around themselves. The architectural spaces and furnishings are in easy dialogue with one another and this conversation produces the idea of a space made to host and welcome, cancelling out differences and distances. Nella FOOLISHNESS HOME regna la fantasia. La vera genuina saggezza non si identifica necessariamente in un atteggiamento razionale, conforme alle premesse e perciò sterile, ma nella lungimirante, visionaria «pazzia». È libertà dalle convenzioni e dalle regole imposte ed espressione di una visione unica e originale su se stessi e sul mondo. Follia come forza vitale creatrice, che viene rappresentata mediante l’abbinamento tra decori murali classici dai colori neutri e arredi contemporanei dai colori vivaci, per produrre quel senso di stupore e meraviglia utile a stimolare la fantasia e la creatività. 16

In the FOOLISHNESS HOME, the imagination rules. True wisdom is not necessarily equal to rational behaviour, conforming to premises and therefore sterile, but instead far-sighted, visionary ‘madness’. It is free from conventions and imposed rules and is the expression of a unique, original vision of itself and the world. Foolishness as a vital, creative force, represented through the pairing of classic wall decoration in neutral colours and contemporary furnishings in bright hues, thus producing a sense of wonder and astonishment that stimulates the imagination and creativity.

Talking Furniture è una magia digitale. La memoria del prodotto e della vita che gli scorre attorno. L’idea nasce dal punto #5 del nostro Manifesto: “Pensiamo il pieno per far vivere il vuoto” . Oggi è possibile avvicinare lo smartphone al microchip interattivo LAGO NFC per iniziare un dialogo con un tavolo LAGO e ottenere informazioni essenziali, quali il nome del prodotto, i materiali, il designer, ma anche provare esperienze più interessanti, come memorizzare le storie nate intorno a quel tavolo, con immagini, testi o suoni che diventano parte di un ‘diario emotivo’ per ricordare nel tempo la meraviglia di alcuni momenti vissuti. Grazie allo stesso pensiero troverete delle ricette nello ‘strisciare’ il tag NFC di una cucina LAGO e delle fiabe per addormentare vostro figlio nel tag di un letto LAGO Kids & Young. Se dormirete in un B&B o in un hotel arredato LAGO vi verrà suggerita una musica di sottofondo, avrete informazioni turistiche e altri aspetti legati al prodotto e al contesto nel quale è inserito. 20

LAGO NFC è un’esperienza nuova per vivere al meglio tutti i prodotti di arredo, collocati sia nella dimensione domestica che pubblica. Con questo progetto LAGO diventa la prima azienda di arredamento al mondo a sviluppare un’esperienza rilevante e interattiva legata al trend di Internet of Things. Talking Furniture is a piece of digital wizardry. It is about the memory of the product and that of the life taking place around it. The idea emerged from point #5 of our Manifesto: ‘We plan the solid to breathe life into the void’. You can now scan a LAGO NFC interactive microchip with your smartphone, to start a dialogue with a LAGO table and get basic information, like product name, materials and designer, but also to have more intriguing experiences, like storing the stories that have bubbled up around the table, using images, texts and/or sounds that then become part of an ‘emotional diary’ for remembering INTERIOR LIFE BULLETTIN

the wonder of a special few moments in time. Thanks to this same idea, you will also find recipes when you ‘swipe’ the NFC tag of a LAGO kitchen and, in the tag of a Kids & young LAGO bed, fairy tales to help your child fall asleep. If you are staying in a B&B or hotel furnished with LAGO products, you will get suggestions for background music, tourist information and other material linked to the product or its context. LAGO NFC is a new experience for getting more out of all kinds of furniture, in both public and private spaces. With this project, LAGO is the first furniture company in the world to create an important and interactive experience connected to the Internet of Things.

THE TABLE WITH A SOUL. Warm and light, the Air Wildwood table is made up of a timeworn oak top set on glass legs. It is processed in a way that creates a cavity that lets you glimpse a section of the trunk, showing off the soul of the wood. Alternatively, this cavity can be covered with coloured glass.

Gli schienali e i cuscini delle sedute sono completamente intercambiabili, regalando così un volto sempre nuovo al divano. Grande attenzione è stata posta all’ergonomia e all’ecosostenibilità di materiali e processi. Le gambe in vetro rendono l’imbottito aereo.

A SPATIAL AND AESTHETIC REVOLUTION. The Air sofa system finds its real strength in its ability to be transformed. The backrests/armrests and seats are completely interchangeable, so the sofa can be given a new look at any time. Lots of attention has been poured into ergonomics and selecting sustainable materials and processes. The glass legs transform the sofa into something ethereal.

THE “DRESSABLE” FURNITURE WAS BORN. A change of perspective in furniture that, for the first time, integrates fabric as a structural and aesthetic element. Taut fabric closes the volumes, completely doing away with the perception of doors and surprising us when it reveals, with a simple gesture, the ample spaces inside.

IL LEGNO NATURALE VIVE CON TE. Nella cucina 36e8® Wildwood il rovere delle ante in Wildwood è accoppiato a un profilo di alluminio di 6 mm di spessore a protezione e supporto. Il top in acciaio integra lavello e piano cottura, mentre le colonne, la lavastoviglie e il forno sono stati sospesi per una maggiore ergonomia. Un segno quasi invisibile disegna sull’anta una maniglia che, con un semplice tocco, rientra e facilita l’apertura di basi e colonne.

NATURAL WOOD LIVES WITH YOU. In the 36e8® Wildwood Kitchen the Wildwood fronts pair old oak with a 6-mm thick aluminium profile providing protection and support. The steel countertop integrates the washbasin and the hob, while the vertical elements, dishwasher and oven are suspended, for better ergonomics. An almost invisible mark on the door acts as a handle that, with a simple touch, retracts and makes it easier to open cupboards.

In order to design this room not just from the functional perspective but also from the enriching one, we talked with children, teenagers, parents and teachers. We gathered their ideas, drawings, words and dreams and transformed it all into furnishings.

We spend more of our waking hours in the office than at home. Our homes are carefully designed, comfortable and welcoming. Our offices are not. What have we done wrong?

LAGO vuole imprimere un’accelerazione e anticipare sensazioni diffuse. Vuole trasferire negli spazi di lavoro l’esperienza acquisita nella progettazione della vita domestica, costruendo spazi di lavoro pensati per favorire il benessere individuale e collettivo, l’efficienza della ragione e l’intuizione emozionale. LAGO non è un testo compiuto. È un alfabeto: strumenti progettuali e ingredienti di forme e materiali con cui curare il design dei propri interni e farli entrare in risonanza con il proprio modo di essere, di vivere, di lavorare.

LAGO wants to give it a boost and advance widespread sensations. It wants to transfer to workspaces all of the experience acquired through the design of life at home, building work spaces designed in terms of individual and collective wellness, efficiency of reason and emotional intuition. LAGO is not a completed text. It is an alphabet: planning tools and ingredients of shapes and materials that businesses and professionals can use to design interiors and bring them into harmony with their own ways of being, living and working.

La continua ricerca sull’impatto che ogni prodotto/servizio ha per l’intera durata del suo ciclo di vita permette di produrre in maniera sostenibile con vernici a base acquosa o con materiali interamente riciclabli come il vetro. At the LAGOFABBRICA, which is built like a home out of glass and wood, sunset floods into the work spaces and makes everything more fluid. Here we follow the Lean Thinking philosophy, which helps us to avoid dead time and reduce waste, achieving constant improvement and accessible, customisable design. Our constant research on the impact of every Lago product and service over its entire life cycle lets us practice sustainable production, using waterbased paints and entirely recyclable materials, like glass.
