Colombo, SRI LANKA Taj Samudra On arrival in Colombo you will be transferred to your hotel. Tour Colombo, the capital and main port of Sri Lanka, and home to many attractions including the famous Buddhist temple, Gangarama Temple. See the city’s oldest Dutch church, Wolvendaal Church. To the south of the city, at the Galle Face Green, you can see cannons that were used during colonial war times. North of the city is the Fort District.

Anuradhapura / Kandalama / Polonnaruwa Heritage Kandalama Transfer to Anuradhapura, one the most extensive and important of the Sri Lankan ancient cities. Founded in the 4th century BC it is famous for its Dagabas (Temples), Reservoirs, and beautifully landscaped gardens. The sacred Bo Tree (the world’s oldest tree on record) “Jayasri Maha Bodhi” and the “Ruwanwali Seya” Temples are two of Sri Lanka’s most sacred places. Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of the most beautiful historical locations in the world - called the “8th wonder of the world”. In Polonnaruwa, visit Thuparama, Vatada-ge, Heta-da-ge, Pabalu Vehera, Siva Devala, Rankot Vehera, Baddhasima-prasada, Lankatilake, Gal Vihara.

Galle / Colombo & Depart Home Jetwing Light House/Taj Samudra Transfer to Galle, en route, visiting Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which cares for elephants displaced from wild habitats. The City of Galle is one of the best-preserved colonial-era cities, and has been declared a World Heritage City. Visit the Dutch Museum, Groote Kerk (Great Church) and the National Maritime Museum and see The Galle International Cricket Stadium. Stop for a visit at a Turtle Hatchery and a boat ride. Return to Colombo for your onward flight.
