Arrive at Taipei International Airport, where you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. The 300-year-old city of Taipei enjoys a blend of Chinese culture with a combination of Japanese, Southeast Asian and American influences. Explore the architectural landmarks of the city, including the National Palace Museum which is home to 5000 years of historical treasures, Chiang Kaishek Memorial Hall, and Longshan Temple.

Drive to Yangminshan National Park with a stop in Martyrs Shrine to see the changing of the guard ceremony. Visit the former residence of Chiang Kai-shek, Grass Mountain Chateau, which is now a museum and exhibition center. See lovely views of the city from the verandah. Board the Lakani Private Jet and head to Da Nang, Vietnam and then drive to Hoi An, an UNESCO World Heritage Site on the central coast, known for its well-preserved Ancient Town. Walk the Old Town and meet a local expert in the preservation of Hoi An. Meander through the narrow streets and visit the attractive Fujian Assembly Hall, the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, pagodas, and other significant sights. Visit a Cham textile house and learn about the silk unraveling and weaving process of the Cham people.

Stroll through a colorful market with a Chef and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. Cruise the Hoi An River to Red Bridge Cooking School. Wander through the herb and vegetable garden, then attend a fascinating culinary workshop where you will learn to prepare traditional dishes for lunch.

Take a private sunset boat cruise on the Thu Bon River.

After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang and board the Lakani Private Jet and travel northwest to Kathmandu, Nepal, enjoying lunch aloft. Connect to a local charter and head to Paro in the Kingdom of Bhutan and transfer to your luxury accommodations at the COMO Uma Paro. The boutique resort is set on a stunning tree-covered hill overlooking the town of Paro.

Tour Ta Dzong, the former watch tower of the 17th century which now serves as the National Museum with a wonderful collection of art and relics displayed over several floors in the circular building. Visit a local farmhouse, and gain insight into the lifestyle of farmers and the interesting architecture of the traditional village houses.

Spend a day in Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan, and visit its famous landmarks, including the National Memorial Chorten built for the Father of Modern Bhutan, and the giant and unique Buddha Dordenma, filled with over 100,000 smaller Buddha statues. See the Tashichho Dzong and learn the importance of weaving at the Textile Museum.

Enjoy a lecture on Gross National Happiness, which was proclaimed by the fourth King of Bhutan in the early 1970’s.

KATHMANDU, NEPAL

Depart Bhutan by local charter and fly to Kathmandu, Nepal, where your suite accommodations await you at your luxury hotel set on 37 acres of landscaped grounds just a short distance from the airport. The capital city is also the largest in Nepal and sits at an altitude of 4,600 feet with a yearlong mild climate. Considered a place of serenity and tranquility, it is home to monasteries, temples, and spiritual melting pots.

Engage in conversation with a well-known Mt. Everest Summiteer who will talk about his mountaineering experiences. An early morning flight over Kathmandu Valley and its surrounding mountains, including Mt. Everest provides an opportunity to get a glimpse of the natural beauty of the area.

Explore Kathmandu Valley, including the royal city of Bhaktapur. Known as ‘Nepal’s Cultural Gem’ it is filled with monuments, palaces, and temples with elaborate carvings, golden roofs, and spacious courtyards. You will notice pagodas and religious shrines dotted throughout the city and enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas. Visit Pashupatinath

Temple, an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important Hindu Temples in the world, set on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Continue on to Bodnath Stupa, the largest in Nepal and holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet.

Tour Patan City and observe the Newari architecture displayed in the courtyards and pagoda temples of Durbar Square.

Visit the 2,500-year-old Sambhunath Stupa and stroll through Indra Chowk, a market that traditionally sells blankets and cloth. Then wander through the Ason Bazaar that is famous for Annapurna Temple and the oldest shopping place in Kathmandu. Take a rickshaw ride to the Thamel neighborhood, known for its narrow alleys, shops, restaurants, and center of Kathmandu nightlife.

Enjoy an evening of local Nepalese folk music and dance performance.

CAPPADOCIA, TURKEY

Board the Lakani Private Jet and settle into your seat for your flight to Turkey. Arrive in Nevsehir Airport and transfer to your luxury, unique hotel in the heart of Cappadocia. As you drive through the moonlike landscape, the excitement builds. Stop for pictures at the famous Pigeon’s Valley and learn how it got its name. Your Relais and Chateaux hotel is truly a living museum, built into the rock caves and houses, it is decorated with many precious antiques from the Ottoman, Seljuk, Roman, and Hittite periods. Enjoy an after-hours tour of the Goreme Open Air Museum, where you can enter cave churches with Byzantine frescoes.

Arise early for a hot-air balloon excursion over Cappadocia. It’s an experience not to be missed to see the incredible landscape from a different perspective and the opportunity to view into the ancient rock houses and caves as the balloon descends and travels close to the ground.

Return to the hotel for breakfast and then head to the Mazi Underground City for a look at this ancient refuge. Visit a local family home and become acquainted with the authentic life of Cappadocia people and delight in a cup of tea and traditional borek. Drive to Sinassos Village where you see beautifully decorated stone houses and have lunch. Later, step inside a famous weaving center and observe local women weaving fine silk rugs.

Spend the day discovering the fairy chimneys and rock formations of Ortahisar Village and Uzengi Valley. Visit Pancarlik Monastery that is home to well-preserved Byzantine frescoes. Indulge in a homecooked lunch served by a local family in Ibrahim Pasa Village. Take a walk after lunch in the lovely village and canyon. Meet a legendary pottery artist in his studio and hear the story of red and white clay art forms from the Hittite era to the present day.

Board the Lakani Private Jet for the final time on this extraordinary journey as you head to Berlin, Germany. See Charlottenburg Palace, Kurfurstendamm Boulevard (Berlin’s famous shopping street), Potsdamer Platz, and the impressive Gendarmenmarkt. Visit the unforgettable Pergamon Museum to admire the Babylonian Processional Way, and a special archeological exhibition Uruk – 5000 Years of the Megacity. Continue to the home of the German parliament, the Reichstag, and climb the glass dome for spectacular panoramic views of the city. Following lunch at the rooftop restaurant of this historic building, visit the Berlin Wall Memorial that spans both sides of Bernauer Strasse that illustrates the history of the Berlin Wall and dedicated to the memory of the divided city. Reflect at the Window of Remembrance and the Chapel of Reconciliation. Afterward, stop at the historic Checkpoint Charlie with time for viewing remnants of the Berlin Wall.

Included in tour price: Private Jet Flights between Taipei and Berlin; all beverages including liquor on the private jet; suite or deluxe room accommodations at finest hotels on share basis; single accommodations are available at additional cost; (Lakani reserves the right to substitute hotels for those named in the brochure when necessary); three meals per day, a la carte where available or practical; bottled water, coffee and tea with meals on the ground; special events; transportation by deluxe air conditioned vehicles; entrance fees for comprehensive sightseeing; gratuities to hotel and restaurant staff, local guides and drivers; knowledgeable local guides, and Lakani tour managers; baggage porterage throughout including two pieces of baggage, total weight 80 pounds; airport taxes; amenities package; arrival transfer in Taipei and departure transfer in Berlin; and Lakani tour managers from arrival Taipei to departure Berlin.

Not included in tour price: Airfare to Taipei and from Berlin; trip cancellation insurance; medical and accident insurance; passport and visa fees; personal expenses (such as mini bar, alcohol not mentioned above, laundry, telephone); costs to ship passenger documents to international addresses; inoculations and medications; other gratuities not specifically mentioned as included.

Payment requirements: To confirm your reservation, we require an initial payment of $5,000 per person. A deposit of $65,000 per person is due Feb 28, 2023, and final balance is due May 31, 2023

Refunds & Cancellation Policy: All requests to cancel confirmed reservations must be received in writing. Refunds are limited to the stated cancellation policy.

Between May 31, 2023 and enroute NO REFUND

Refunds will not be made for unused portion of the tour, such as, but not limited to, sightseeing excursions, meals, and or other pre-arranged services.

Travel Insurance: Lakani World Tours recommends all travelers purchase travel insurance.

Responsibility of Traveler: This is an active program, requiring participants to be in good health and capable of moderate exertion. Participants must be able to ascend and descend the aircraft stairs. Special assistance and/or private ground arrangements may be available at additional cost, depending upon specific requirements. Smoking is prohibited on the private jet, at group meals, on buses and during all group activities.

Travel documents: Lakani World Tours does not obtain personal travel documents or assume responsibility for notifying travelers of current requirements. All expenses incurred as a result of delays or itinerary changes related to lack of appropriate travel documents shall be borne by the individual traveler.

Health & Inoculations: Inoculation requirements and recommendations often change; therefore, we strongly recommend you contact your personal physician, local Health Department, or the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, (404-322-4559 or www.cdc.gov/travel and advise them of your itinerary.

Prices: Lakani World Tours reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs after prices are published, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Lakani World Tours is under no obligation to provide a breakdown of costs involved in this program.

Responsibility: Lakani World Tours cannot be held responsible or liable for loss, damage, or theft of luggage or personal belongings, nor for personal injury, accident, or illness. Lakani will only reimburse according to this cancellation policy. Lakani World Tours and its employees, independent contractors and representatives act only as agents in arranging hotels or lodging, transportation, ground handling, restaurants, or other travel services and in no way shall be held liable in the event of failure by any person or company to render services to travelers, nor shall they be held liable for any negligent or willful act by any such person or company. Furthermore, neither Lakani World Tours) nor its employees, independent contractors or agents shall be held liable or responsible for any injury, loss, death, or damage to personal property in connection with any goods or services provided, resulting from force majeure, acts of God, civil unrest, acts of war, terrorist activities, labor strikes, or mechanical failure of transport while traveling. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Lakani World Tours reserves the right, without notice, to withdraw any or all parts of a tour and or to make such changes as may be necessary. The extra cost, if any, for such changes will be the responsibility of the traveler. Lakani World Tours reserves the right to cancel the tour, in which case a full refund will be made without further obligation on our part. We also reserve the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour, or to require a participant to withdraw from the tour at their own expense when such an action is determined by Lakani World Tours tour staff to be in the best interest of the participant’s health and safety or that of the tour group. No refund will be made for the unused portion of the tour. The published tour cost is based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect Nov. 2022, and is subject to change. Any tariff, exchange rate or fuel surcharge will be passed on to the participants. Baggage is carried at the owner’s risk entirely. It is understood that the air ticket when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the passenger and the airline concerned. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their plane or conveyance. Lakani World Tours accepts no liability for any airline’s cancellation penalty or change fee incurred by the purchase of a restricted air ticket in connection with this tour. In regard to credit card payments for travel services to Lakani World Tours the traveler (and or cardholder or the cardholders authorized representative) will hold Lakani World Tours and its employees, independent contractors or representatives harmless for any or all charge-backs exercised by them or their credit card companies, originating from any complaints regarding travel services or involving refund requests of monies paid when insurance was not purchased, or for any reason whereby the traveler did not utilize any portion of the prepaid travel services, or any reasons whatsoever.

Arbitration Resolution: Any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to, any services arranged by Lakani World Tours shall be resolved solely by binding arbitration in Orange County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Acceptance of initial travel services and payment of monies to Lakani World Tours will constitute agreement by the traveler(s) of these Terms & Conditions.

California law requires sellers of travel to be bonded. Lakani World Tours is bonded through Great American Insurance and is a participant in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation, TCRC fund.

Photography: Lakani World Tours encourages tour participants to take photographs and videos during the tour and submit them to the Lakani for use in promotional materials. Participants who prefer that their image not be used for marketing purposes are asked to make this request known in writing prior to departure.
