Bogota, COLOMBIA Hotel Sofitel Victoria Regia Colombia was the first constitutional government in South America, and an important promoter of the Pan American organizations, initially through the Congress of Panama and later as founder of the Organization of American States. Arrive in Bogota where you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. This Colombian capital which is known for colonial grandeur and a modern metropolis. Visit the colonial part of the city La Candelaria, Usaquen, the Paloquemao Market Place where you will buy food with a chef for a cooking lesson that includes lunch. Visit the famous Gold Museum and the Fernando Botero Museum representing the works a living artist recognized in the last three decades who has achieved international recognition for his paintings, drawings and sculpture.

Pereira Casa San Carlos Lodge Travel to the fertile plateau of Zipaquira. The town is primarily known for its Salt Cathedral, an underground church built inside a salt deposit in a tunnel made as result of the excavation of the salinas (salt mines). Zipaquirá has a very interesting architecture, and the old city centre’s main square is surrounded by old buildings in the Spanish Colonial. Fly to Pereira, part of the Coffee Triangle of Colombia, where you will learn all about coffee visiting a traditional coffee finca. While traveling throughout the region of cloudy forest and volcanic mountains and National Parks, find the highest palms tress in the world as well as beautiful small villages.

Cartagena & Depart Home Hotel Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Visit the breeding center of the Colombian Paso Fino horses to learn the art of training the ponies. Fly to Cartagena, located on Colombia’s northwest coast, and a popular tourist destination. Visit the Monastery of La Popa, the fortress of San Felipe and walk along the colorful streets of old Cartagena as well as the old town by horse carriage. Take an excursion to the fishing village of Boquilla to experience the mangrove swamps by dugout canoe. On day 9 you’ll be transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
