Visit Caesarea, which was built by Herod as a major seaport at the time of Christ. Continue to Haifa, a modern seaport on the slopes of Mt. Carmel. Visit Elijah’s cave and the cradle of the Carmelite Order at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. In Nazareth celebrate Mass in the Holy Land at the Basilica of the Annunciation. In Cana visit the church were Christ turned the water into wine.
Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the village of Capernaum at the site where Peter lived and Jesus performed much of his ministry in Galilee. Continue to the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes and the Church of the Primacy and the Benedictine Basilica. Visit the Jordan River and reflect on Jesus’ baptism by John.

Tiberias / Jericho / Qumran / Jerusalem & Depart Home King David Hotel Jerusalem Visit Mt. Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Drive down the Jordan Valley to Jericho for a visit to the Tel of the ancient city and to view the Mt. of Temptation. Continue to the Dead Sea with time for a swim. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Stop at the Inn of the Good Samaritan before continuing to Bethany to see the church and the tomb of Lazarus.
From Jerusalem visit the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St John the Baptist and the Church of Visitation. Continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity before driving to the Shepherd’s Fields. Visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born. On the Mt. of Olives walk the Palm Sunday route stopping at Dominus Flevit. Drive to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony. Visit the cave of betrayal and the cave of the Assumption of Mary. Back on the Mt. of Olives visit the Pater Noster with the Lords Prayer in many languages. Drive through the Kidron Valley to St. Peter in Galicantu. At the Cenacle visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper and celebrate Mass. Visit Dormition Abbey. See the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, through the markets of the Old City.
