MR ROBERTS EAT HOUSE BY GREG LANZO FOOD EDITOR

ABC's "The Taste" celebrity chef, Sarah Masters, Serves It Up! If you haven't been to Mr. Roberts Restaurant on Swan Lake just east of Pengilly it's a must visit! A restaurant that has grown into the hottest place to eat across the Iron Range in just a few months by two means. First, it's adored by the locals and secondly, it's where Chef Sarah Mas ters, originally from Pengilly, is continually honing her craft by bringing phenomenal food to the Northwoods. Masters has had stints at sever al trendy Minneapolis restaurants and a recent trip to NBC's "The Taste". You won't get food that is unrecognizable when it's set in front of you. Instead, you get food that Masters ate when she grew up "North" but now with a twist of her own creativity. It's locally sourced and nearly every thing is made from scratch in house. Imagine having your own chef prepairing your meals by foraging from local farmers, ranchers and organic suppliers for your meal. Appetizers like the amazing hand-dipped Buffalo Cauliflower and entrees like Fried Chick en & Sweet Potato Waffle with spicy maple syrup or Venison Stroganoff with porcini gravy and fresh snap peas. Chef Sarah and Dan Beckwith, her business partner, create the daily Chef's Whim showcasing what's available fresh from their sources that are exciting additions to an al ready accomplished menu. Order the specials like a Rib Eye Goulash or the All-You-Care-To-Eat Fish; mine was monkfish that was to die for. The desserts are definitely not to be missed, but the five-star fan favor ite is the made to order Beignets garnished with dark chocolate with a hint of cinnamon. T hey are out of this world good, in fact so good you would think you just had been transported to Cafe' Du Monde which makes sense since New Orleans is where Chef Sarah started her culi nary adventure before returning North. 73
