Yoga Classes Gentle Yin & Yang Yoga

Evening Flow Yoga (Intermediate)

Mondays Location Instructor

Wednesdays 5:15 - 6:30 pm Location Beasley Centre Instructor Eva Hartmann

11:30 am - 12:45 pm Beasley Centre Christina Aaron

Join Christina for 75 minutes of gentle yoga. Yin Yoga is a slower practice where poses are passively held for longer, working on the deep, dense (Yin) connective tissues and joints in the body. Yang Yoga, in contrast, refers to a more active practice working on the (Yang) muscles and blood flow, building strength, stamina and flexibility. This class starts wtih the stillness of yin to ease into your practice. We will then move into slow flowing movements for the middle part of class to get the body warm and focus the mind. Finally we will move into restorative practice to find rest, digestion and deep relaxation. This class is suitable for all levels. No classes Apr. 5 & May 24. Mar 29 - Jun 21 (11 classes) $99 +tax Jun 28 - Jul 26 (5 classes) $45 +tax

Code: 0321.048 Code: 0621.048

This flow class is more active, yet includes traditional yogic breathing exercises and invites mindful movement. We will build a routine by weaving together dynamic standing postures to build mental focus and generate heat in the body. Depending on the week, we might incorporate gentle core strengtheners or build stability in our upper body. Towards the end of class we allow ourselves to sink a little deeper into seated postures. This class is suitable for students who are able to participate in a few rounds of sun salutations with balancing poses and you will be invited to challenge yourself. Enjoy a well-rounded yoga class, combining 75 minutes of strengthening and stretching, ending with a short meditation. Mar 31 - Jun 23 (13 classes) $117 +tax

Yin is a style of yoga designed to get deep into your connective tissue and create space in the major joints of the body, as well as stretch your muscle fascia. Floor Hockey (Ages 8-12 years)

Wednesdays Various Times Ages 6-15 Location Woodsdale Tennis Courts Instructor Marnie Perrier

Tuesdays Thursdays Location Instructor

This learn to play program identifies 4 skill sets required to play tennis successfully. These are called the “I Can” skill sets. Progressive Tennis uses a system of modified courts, racquets and balls scaled to maximize learning for different levels and/or age groups. Just like many other sports, scaling the game down to the size of the child speeds up the learning process and makes the game more fun. All you need to bring is your own racquet, running shoes (no sandals), & water bottle. Loaner racquets are available if required. Three levels are offered. Red Ball (For ages 6+) Introduces the foundational skills of tennis with an oversized low-compression ball on a smaller court. Players learn basic rally, serve and net play skills along with activities that build tennis-specific coordination. Rules of play and food sport behaviours introduced. Orange Ball (For ages 8+) Played on a 3/4 size court with a low-compression ball. Players learn how to serve, rally, score and lay at the net. Green Ball (For ages 10+) Played on a full-court with a transition ball. Green players may be older children who are new to tennis or players of a good standard who have progressed through Red & Orange stages. Red Ball Apr 7-28 May 5 -26 Jun 2 -23
