There’s no doubt, 2021 was a challenging year on multiple levels and with fewer sellers listing their homes, these challenges were also felt across the real estate market, as well. Inventory decreases of 28% paired with strong buyer demand saw the average lake home increase in value by an impressive 9% over the prior year bringing the average sale price of a lake home in the area to just over $1.5 Million. While property markets are inherently unpredictable, we believe the low inventory trend will continue into 2022 as buyer demand remains strong. It’s no secret, Lake Country is home to some of Wisconsin’s most desired lakes and is renowned for its laid-back lifestyle and year-round activities. From summer boating, fishing and festivities in Pewaukee, Oconomowoc, Hartland and Delafield to skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter, it’s all here and promises endless hours of fun for people of all ages.
