We are in a time of dramatic changes in business practices and global policy. In light of today’s rapidly changing business world, business schools continue to face many challenges. In order to meet the needs of management in this volatile environment, our efforts continue to be focused on the development of new knowledge, new perspectives, and new ways of learning. The Faculty of Business Administration remains committed to this endeavor and we look forward to working with all stakeholders to build a better future.

HEAR FROM OUR STUDENTS
Why did you choose Lakehead?
I chose to study at Lakehead because they are AACSB certified (only 6% of business programs in the world have this certificate, 1/19 in Canada). I also loved the idea of being a student / athlete in a small town and forming personal connections with all my professors rather than being just another student number.
What advice would you give to a future student?
I would advise them to apply for a work study position in their field of study. It was a great experience and super fun. I would also advise them to find a club, team or association to join to help make connections and friends.
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
As a Lakehead Business student, you can gain highly sought after skills and experience to get ready for your future career in the Work-Integrated Learning @Lakehead Program.
This program is offered through the support of the RBC Future Launch Initiative and is designed to provide students with meaningful experiences outside of the classroom that integrate with classroom learning to enrich both experiences.
The program consists of a part-time work placement with organizations of various types. You will work with an organization and a mentor while participating in a workshop series that will also help to further build your skills in some of the following areas - all essential for the business world:
• effective communication
• self management
• conflict resolution/negotiation
• financial literacy
• mindfulness
• and more!
