THUNDERWOLVES Hear from our THUNDER BAY CAMPUS

Lakehead has amazing support services with absolutely phenomenal staff who help you as much as they can to provide the best university experience possible.

Kendra McTavish CIVIL ENGINEERING, 2023

My favourite memory at Lakehead has to be completing my first clinical in the hospital in my second year. It allowed me to obtain the confidence I was looking for to be a competent nurse.

Khalid Ladhani NURSING, 2023

Lakehead not only prepared me with the hard skills of understanding the equations and the school content, but also the soft skills, like having the opportunity to network and present.

Drew Clutchey BUSINESS, 2023

Having smaller class sizes really has allowed for my class and professors to interact in a positive and helpful way. There is always a sense of trust and openness in classes and as a student I always feel encouraged to share my genuine thoughts and opinions.

Laura Wood SOCIAL WORK, 2023

Lakehead’s Bachelor of Education program is fantastic in that it allows you to choose from many school boards across Ontario to do your teaching practicum. I love that I have the option to come home to Toronto if I want to. It also includes over 100 days of classroom experience, which I know will help me become the best teacher I can be.
