Automatic - No scholarship application required Rewarding exceptional academic performance, we guarantee funding to entering high school students who are Canadian citizens studying at a high school in Canada and who have a minimum 80% average from a recognized Canadian high school curriculum.

† Free Tuition Scholarship is based on final top 6 Grade 12 U/M marks. If final scholarship average decreases below 95% and the student had a 95% in May, a $4,000 renewable scholarship will be awarded. See 1 for $4,000 renewal criteria. 1 Free Tuition Scholarship and $4,000 Scholarship renewable provided a 90% average is achieved in each academic year. If a student’s university academic average falls between 80.0% - 89.9%, the student will receive an amended scholarship valued at $2,500/year for each subsequent academic year for the remaining term of the scholarship. 2 Renewable provided an 80% average is achieved in each academic year.

PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

VALUE: UP TO 2 X $30,000 ($7,500/YEAR FOR 4 YEARS)

Awarded to outstanding Canadian high school students annually who have achieved a minimum 90% average and have demonstrated leadership qualities and made significant contributions to their high school and their community.

NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO AND SIMCOE COUNTY CITIZENSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS

VALUE: UP TO 10 X $3,000 ($3,000/YEAR X 1 YEAR)

Awarded to 10 graduating students from high schools in Northwestern Ontario and Simcoe County who model good citizenship within their high school and community. Minimum 85% average required.

Application Deadline: March 15, 2022

SPECIALIST HIGH SKILLS MAJOR AWARD

VALUE: $500 AWARD

Available to high school students enroled in select Specialist High Skills Majors.

VARSITY ENTRANCE ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS

VALUE: UP TO $4,500

Members of a 2022-23 Lakehead University Varsity team (Thunder Bay campus) are eligible for consideration by the Varsity Coaches.
