Four Winns TH36

A stand out.

At a glance, the all-new outboard catamaran stands out from its peers,” says Martin Meyer, product manager for Four Winns. And one look at this venerated builder’s latest model is plenty of reason to get up close and personal with the new multi-hulled TH36 outboard.

With a stunning exterior design by the famed Italian Garroni Studio and an equally impressive interior, the Four Winns’ Cadillac, Michigan-based shipyard, now a part of Groupe Beneteau, has brought this exciting catamaran to market, one sure to be a head-turner wherever she is found. Adding to her flair is a sophisticated and efficient stepped hull shape courtesy of world-renowned French naval architect and catamaran specialist Marc Lombard and his team.

Access is aft, on the platform formed by the twin, wide-set outboard engines available from Mercury or Yamaha in 300- to 350-hp configurations. Moving forward, a pair of seats and tables mounted on sliders allow boaters to “split” the aft U-shape bench to either side, creating three different layouts that further expand the cockpit area. Amidships is even more seating, with the helm to starboard. Other features here include a galley to port with a sink, cooktop and storage, while the refrigerator is to starboard. A large fiberglass hardtop provides shade, and the sizable bowrider seating area, accessed via a walkway from the helm area, offers a comfortable space to relax. On port and starboard sides, just forward of the helm area, are the entrances to the living accommodations, each with comfortable quarters, ample headroom, and head and shower compartments forward.

“From watersports to cruising, from lake to saltwaters, we want every boater to enjoy the Four Winns refinement and benefit from our new technologies,” adds Nicolas Harvey, Four Winns brand director. ★

Mag Bay 43CC

Worth the wait.

After time well spent analyzing owner input and industry trends, and bringing Stephen Matthews of Ocean Designs LLC onboard, Mag Bay introduces its 43CC, the company’s largest center console to date.

“Reed Yacht Sales is very proud to represent Mag Bay Yachts here in the Great Lakes. Our history with the Howarth family goes back to our days as a Cabo Yacht dealer,” says Brent Reed, president of Reed Yacht Sales. “When we heard about their new company Mag Bay Yachts, we jumped at the opportunity to represent them.”

Running on Matthews’ patented cross-step hull and powered by standard quad Mercury Verado 400-hp V6s, or optional triple engine Verado 600-hp V12s or four Mercury Racing 450-hp V8s, your time out on the water is sure to be as exciting as you would expect from this builder. And with a standard Seakeeper 3 gyro and relaxed seating all around, comfort comes built in.

Quality construction has always been an integral part of Mag Bay, and with the 43CC, the approach to safety and excellence includes using the best materials and expert craftspeople. To that end, the boat features 100% vinylester resin construction, Gurit cored hullsides, a solid fiberglass bottom, unibody transom, triple reinforced hull-deck-liner joint throughout the entire boat and, for added strength, a fiberglass molded stringer grid system.

Fishing amenities include a pair of in-deck fishboxes forward and two additional insulated cockpit fishboxes, all with macerator pumps. A host of optional equipment abounds, such as Gemlux outrigger bases, carbon outriggers and holders, air conditioning and hardtop electric teaser reels.

“We knew immediately they would be building the highest quality yachts on the market. The 43CC is the perfect fishing or cruising boat for our Great Lakes market,” Reed adds. ★
