Lakeland Christian School is pleased to announce the return of our summer program, Camp LCS! This flexible camp option will be held for five weeks in June.
Designed for students who have completed K4 through 5th grade, the camp will include a theme-of-theweek, lots of games, crafts, parties, snacks, sports, and more. Each day will start off with a time of worship and devotions. Each week will include guest speakers and field trips.
Camp LCS will run from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday Students may be dropped off starting at 8:00 AM Parents can choose to send their child for either for a full day or half day Students staying for the full day will need to provide their own sack lunches each day, Monday through Thursday There will be a pizza party each Friday Be sure to send a water bottle each day that is clearly labeled with your child’s name
A Camp LCS t-shirt will be provided and should be worn on field

Follow the yellow brick road to discover emeralds in a fun-filled week of singing, dance, instruments, crafts, and team competition. Our final destination will be the presentation of a complete program on Friday afternoon.
Students who have completed grades 2-6 will audition for the fall musical during Music Camp.
Any camper who wishes to audition for the LCS Fall Musical, Wizard of Oz, will audition during Music Camp This classic musical is an extremely fun show filled with fantastic music, amazing costumes and is fun for the whole family!
Students entering grades 3-5 will be cast as Munchkins From this group of Munchkins, we will cast the Mayor, City Fathers, Barrister, Three Tots, Coroner, Braggart, School Teacher(s), Fiddler, and tough Kids Munchkin songs include “Munchkin Musical Sequence,” “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead,” “Yellow Brick Road ” and “You’re Off to See the Wizard ”
Students entering 6th and 7th grade will audition for various roles such as Crows, Trees, Winkies, Jitterbugs, Osians, Poppies, and Snowmen. There will be double casting of certain roles.
Song/dance numbers for these roles include “If I Only Had a Brain,” “If I Only Had a Heart,” “Merry Old Land of Oz,” “March of the Winkies,” and “Jitterbug.”

Boys and girls who have completed grades 2-4 may attend this year ’ s Science Camp. Students will perform interactive experiments and hands on activities. They will become scientists and engineers as they develop critical thinking skills during each of the themed days. They will be using communication skills and engaging in teamwork strategies each day as well.

Boys and girls who have completed K5 to 2nd grade will have the opportunity to explore the world of cooking through literacy Each recipe will correspond with the book we read Students will have centers teaching how to measure, cut, prepare a dish, set a table, wash dishes and create a craft

Boys and girls who have completed grades 3-5 may attend this year ' s Unplugged Gaming Camp. Playing board games increases brain function and stimulates brain areas responsible for memory formation and complex thought process for all ages. We will work on social skills including waiting patiently, taking turns, sharing, solving problems and communication skills. We will also connect board games to Scripture by showing how God's rules exist to give us a framework for understanding the world The rules exist for our good and to show a path to victory

Boys and girls who have completed grades 3-5 may attend this year ’ s Green Screen Camp. The week will foster friendships while developing fun, special effects videos through the use of green screen technology. Campers will discover their inner “techies” as they create one-of-a-kind videos through iPad technology. Cooperation and communication skills are developed as the students collaborate with partners in designing storyboards and videos based on their own interests. The week will culminate with presentations of the campers ’ masterpieces.

Boys and girls who have completed grades 2-4 may attend this year ’ s Writing Camp Students will review basic writing skills and learn new writing strategies to enable them to become proficient writers Campers will learn how to write precise sentences, paragraphs and stories while participating in fun and engaging activities Fun activities will include painting, cooking, robotics, science experiments, puppet shows, iMovies and more! Director: Soccer Coaches and Varsity Players
Limited to 100 Students
Boys and girls who have completed K4 to 5th grades are invited to participate in a developmental skills camp with an introduction to the fundamentals and principles of soccer. Small group play and games will make this camp fun and entertaining for the developing soccer player. Players will work with the LCS coaching staff and the varsity athletes in a friendly, fun, and Christ-centered atmosphere.

Limited to 100 Students
Boys who have completed 5th to 7th grades who are interested in receiving individualized attention in all fundamentals of football are encouraged to attend the middle school football camp Offensive and defensive skills will be worked on during the week The camp is headed up by members of the Varsity coaching staff Daily schedule includes warm-up activities and devotional times led by various coaches Bring tennis shoes, cleats (non-metal), and a marked water bottle Gatorade and water will be provided
