MUSIC CAMP - $150.00 by May 19; $175.00 after May 19 JUNE 4-8, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Music Camp 2018 will follow a brand-new format this year with the preparation and presentation of a complete dramatic mini musical, “On the Shoulders of Giants.” Join us as we pay tribute to leaders and heroes who have come before us and paved our way so we can live as we do today: Inventors, statesmen, literary giants, artists, teachers, soldiers, doctors, and those who worked for civil and human rights in their march for freedom. See how one child can change the world. All campers will be involved in various classes and workshops involving vocals, acting, choreography, set & prop building, and costume design and will present a complete program on Friday at 1:00 PM. There will be team competitions, relays, team-building activities and lots of prizes! Any camper who wishes to audition for the LCS Fall Musical, Seussical, Jr., will audition during Music Camp. Seussical, Jr. is an extremely fun show with fantastic fun music, great costumes and lots of roles! • Students entering Grades 3-4 will audition for circus performers/animals. They will sing in several songs, but they also have a feature song, “Solla Sollew.” • Students entering Grades 5-6 will audition for Whos. They will sing in several songs, but they also have feature songs, “Here on Who” and “The Whos Return.” • Students entering 7th Grade will audition for jungle citizens. These characters sing in several songs as well as these featured songs: “Horton Hears a Who,” “Biggest Blame Fool,” “Egg, Nest, and Tree,” and “The People Versus Horton the Elephant.” Jungle citizens have the opportunity to be double-cast as fish, waves, things, and hunters based on their vocal and choreography scores. • One young performer will be chosen to play Baby Kangaroo.
