Students will develop knowledge of simple electronics and computing, setting up a Raspberry Pi and writing their first program using the Python programming language. Some challenges will include controlling an LED with Python, using a button press to control a circuit, and making a button and LED game. Students will develop basic skills to build websites using HTML, javascript and CSS. Campers will learn the skills necessary for programming intelligent websites. Level Two - Students who have completed 8th through 11th grade will learn problem-solving skills, write algorithms, and convert algorithms to java code in the Coding Like a Pro Level II Camp. Students will learn to program basics like variables, loops, conditionals, functions, arrays and data types. Each day will start off with a time of worship and devotions. Each week will include guest speakers, as well as field trips around Lakeland for movies, skating and/or bowling.

Our final destination will be the presentation of a complete program on Friday afternoon.
Any camper who wishes to audition for the LCS Fall Musical, Beauty and the Beast, will audition during Music Camp.
Camp LCS will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Students may be dropped off starting at 7:30 AM. Parents can choose to send their child for a five-day or three-day week, and either for a full day or half day. Students staying for the full day will need to provide their own sack lunches each day, Monday through Thursday. There will be a pizza party each Friday.

3D DESIGN CAMP - $150.00 JUNE 17-21, 12 PM to 3 PM
Limited to 20 students
Students who have completed 5th to 7th grades may attend the RISE 3D Design Camp. Students will learn the exciting process of iterative design and manufacturing. From designing their own tools/toys to learning the ins and outs of 3D printing, each student will be able to bring a personal creation to life that will meet needs and solve problems. RASPBERRY PI CAMP - $250.00 JUNE 24-28, 9 AM to 3 PM Limited to 20 students Students who have completed 5th to 7th grades may participate in the first-ever Raspberry Pi Camp. Students will develop knowledge of simple electronics and computing, setting up a Raspberry Pi and writing their first program using the Python programming language. Some challenges will include controlling an LED with Python, using a button press to control a circuit, and making a button and LED game. Each camper will go home with a Raspberry Pi for further exploring. Camp Director: Elizabeth Nuthalapaty

CODING LIKE A PRO CAMP - $250.00 JULY 8-12, 9 AM to 3 PM Limited to 20 students Level One - Students who have completed 5th through11th grades may participate in the Coding Like a Pro Level I Camp. Students will develop basic skills to build websites using HTML, javascript and CSS. Campers will learn the skills necessary for programming intelligent websites. Level Two - Students who have completed 8th through 11th grade will learn problem-solving skills, write algorithms, and convert algorithms to java code in the Coding Like a Pro Level II Camp. Students will learn to program basics like variables, loops, conditionals, functions, arrays and data types. Using this new-found knowledge, they will be able to code in Java using Eclipse and develop apps in Android studios. Camp Director: Elizabeth Nuthalapaty

BOYS’ & GIRLS’ SOCCER CAMP - $150.00 MAY 28-31, 8:30 AM to 12 PM Boys and girls who have completed K4 to 6th grades are invited to participate in a developmental skills camp designed to introduce kids to the fundamentals and principles of soccer through games and small-group play.
MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL CAMP - $100.00 JUNE 10-13 (Monday to Thursday), 9 AM to 12 PM Boys who have completed 5th to 7th grades who are interested in receiving individualized attention in all fundamentals of football are encouraged to attend the middle school football camp. The Viking varsity coaching staff will work with students on both offensive and defensive skills.
MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL CAMP - $100.00 JUNE 10-13 (Monday to Thursday), 1-4 PM Girls who have completed 3rd to 8th grades are invited to attend the Viking volleyball camp. Students will participate in devotional time, warm-up activities, individual skill building, team competitions, game play and fun activities.
BOYS’ BASEBALL CAMP - $100.00 JUNE 24-26, 9 AM to 12 PM Boys who have completed 1st to 5th grades who want to learn the fundamentals or improve on their skills of America’s favorite past time are invited to attend the Viking baseball camp.
