Squam Lake Known for its pristine waters and peaceful setting, both Big and Little Squam Lake are naturally spring fed and connected by a channel. Covering around 6,800 acres, the lakes is the second largest located entirely within New Hampshire and can been seen in the 1981 feature film, “On Golden Pond�.
