COMMUNITY IMPACT
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
ENTERTAINMENT & INSPIRATION
CREATE & INNOVATE GREETINGS! Lake Michigan College is in the midst of revitalization. In the past few years, we have introduced several new and exciting programs and projects, including the Hanson Technology Center and Fab Lab, Beckwith Residence Hall, and Lake Michigan Vintners teaching winery. Next, we will complete plans to transform classrooms and student spaces on all three campuses. These initiatives enhance the student experience and advance our three most crucial objectives:

Tuesday, May 1
By moving at the speed of industry, we prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s careers. By fostering a supportive culture with clear pathways to success, we help all students define and reach their goals. Through education and opportunities for civic, social, creative and economic connections, we elevate the overall quality of life in our region. In April I had the honor of becoming Lake Michigan College’s 10th president, and I have enjoyed getting to know many of the people and organizations that make our community great. I look forward to carrying on LMC’s 75-year legacy as a launch pad for generations of leaders and innovators in southwest Michigan. Sincerely, DR. TREVOR A. KUBATZKE President, Lake Michigan College

HONORS

I think a community college is a more family oriented, personalized education, and the transition from LMC to WMU was smooth.
A student in the Early Childhood Elementary Education program can earn an associate degree at LMC and a bachelor’s degree with a ZS (general and special education) Endorsement at WMU-Southwest, located on the Benton Harbor campus of Lake Michigan College. This program saves students considerable time and expense in pursuing their degrees.
“LMC helped guide me rather than pull me, and I flourished. “Now, as a teacher, a typical day is a little crazy but it’s fun!” CURTIS BREWSTER ‘13 • WMU Class of ‘15 • 4th Grade Teacher
