THE ARTS Photo Quest contest

The Lake Area Camera Club and Lake Arts Council present Photo Quest 2022. Taking place annually for more than two decades and receiving more than 150 entries in past years, this photography contest and exhibit gives amateur photographers, who earn less than $500 per year from photography (excluding contest winnings) an opportunity to exhibit their art and receive recognition for their work. The contest is open to anyone 18 years of age and older.

Prizes will be awarded in cash and ribbons to Best of Show, First place and Second place.

Third place and Honorable Mention will receive ribbons. The categories for this year are: Landscapes, Wildlife, Nature, Still Life & Florals, Story Telling and People, and Architecture and Machines. The deadline for entries is Friday, August 19 at 1 p.m. at the Lake Arts Council office located at Stone Crest Mall, Osage Beach.

Three judges, who are in no way connected to the Council or Camera Club, will award the winners. An awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on August 27 at the Stone Crest Mall. Following the ceremony all photos will be on exhibit from August 27 to September 25 at the Lake Arts Council office. Winning photos will be on display from October 3-27.
