Bikers roll in for Bikefest

Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the U.S. will be coming to Lake of the Ozarks for the annual Bikefest event.

Bikefest will be held September 14-18.

Two vendor villages, a Passport Run for the chance to win a new Harley, entertainment and live music will be held at locations across the Lake area.

A hotspot for bikers, the Bagnell Dam Strip will be closed to vehicular traffic, except for motorcycles, three-wheeled vehicles, emergency and delivery vehicles from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. starting Wednesday of Bike

Week and ending on Sunday at 2 a.m. The center-turnlane along the Strip is available for motorcycle parking.

The Strip will be closed from Ballenger Road to just west of Bagnell Dam. Traffic is encouraged to use Hwy. 242 to get around the area or can use Valley Road to detour around the Strip but still access the Dam. George Denny photos
