FUNDRAISER Cocktails for a Cause benefits Community Foundation

The 14th annual Community Foundation of the Lake fundraiser – the Champagne Campaign – will be held at La Roca Club Saturday, Sept. 24. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 and will include passed hors d’oeu- vres and food stations, games, raffles, live and silent auction items, plus entertainment from special guest DJ Justin Farrell. Brett Manire is the honorary chair.

Theme this year is “Cocktails for a Cause.” Anyone attending is invited to come dressed as an interpretation of your favorite cocktail. Chris and Melissa Galloway of PaPPo’s & Mama Cita’s will be providing the food!

This event raises funds for the annual grant round held at the beginning of each year and helps more than 25 deserving non-profit organizations in Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.

CFL President Jane Wright offers, “the CFL’s mission is to build the educational, cultural, health and economic development of the Lake community. The CFL board and long-standing donors have not missed a beat even during the pandemic, and we have continued to grow in gifts coming in and in grants going out. We can be proud to live at the lake and now must engage and cultivate “‘ext-gen’ donors through collaborative philanthropy and learn- ing about community needs.”

Since its inception, Community Foundation’s annual fundraiser has led to more than $500,000 in grants to local charities such as The Food Bank for Northeast & Central Missouri, Wonderland Camp, Camdenton School Foundation, Children’s Learning Center, Lake Area Indus- Cocktails for a Cause is the theme for this year’s tries, CADV, Kids’ Harbor, Medical Missions for Christ, Share Champagne Campaign fundraiser held at La Roca the Harvest Food Pantry, Lamb House, Buddy Packs, Big Broth- in Osage Beach.
