23 • The second annual Lake of the Ozarks Got Talent will be held at Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton. First place will receive $3,000, second place gets $1,500, and third place is $500. 23 & 24 • The dinner theater production of “Trick or Treat” will be held at the Camden County Museum at 7 p.m. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Cost is $20. 23-25 • The Hillbilly Rendezvous Festival will be held at the Laurie Fairgrounds. This oldtime festival will have reenactors and participants in 1800s period costume providing demonstrations and merchandise for sale. Hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and Sunday, and, 9 a.m.3 p.m. Saturday.
23-25 • The Fall In-Water Boat Show will be held at Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill. A variety of boats from Lake area marine dealers will be in the water ready to test drive. 24 • Pumpkin’ Chunkin’ Palooza, sponsored by the Laurie/Sunrise Beach Rotary Club will be held at Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton. From 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. a variety of activities, entertainment and contests will be held. A family area with a maze, face painting, bounce houses, pirate and magic shows and petting zoo will be set up. A Trebuchet demonstrations and contest, art contest and exhibit, pie eating contest, artists and, vendors and food will be available. Chiari will be held at 1 p.m. at Ha Ha Tonka State Park at the Post Office Pavillion. Registration at noon. A raffle, games, food and playground for kids will be held. 24 • Camden County Republican Club Patriots Dinner and live and silent auction, 5:30-9 p.m., Community Christian Church, 1064 N. Business Route 5, Camdenton. Guests will include Republican candidates on the Nov. 8 General Election ballot. Cost is $25 a person. Cash or check will be accepted for tickets and auction purchases. You do not need to be a member to attend.
24 • The Elks Lodge #2517 will host the annual Mouse Races. Doors open at 2 p.m. with races starting at 3 p.m.
24 • Cocktails for a Cause will be held at La Roca Club in Osage Beach from 4:30-9 p.m. This events helps raise money for 25 non-profits organizations in Camden, Miller, and Morgan counties. Tickets are $65/person. Food stations and passed hors d’oeuvres, a live auction, raffles and entertainment will be held. Missouri’s largest swap meet features antiques, guns, fishing gear, crafts, small animals and flea market items. Sponsored by the Ozark Quilt Guild the event will feature quilt made by members, there will be a quilt raffle and quilter vendors. The show is held in conjunction of the Fiber Arts Festival.

8 • Arts in the Park will be held at the Camdenton City Park from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Arts in the Park is free, hands on art experiences for children and their families. Children go from tent to tent where they’ll have the chance to make pillows, crowns, bird seed cones, stamp art, masks, yarn eyes and many others. In addition to the Child Advocacy Council, other non-profit organizations will have tents too at which children can make various crafts. Hot dogs and popcorn and drinks are also provided for free.
