Men’s Cancer Support Group

1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, Lake Regional Cancer Center Conference Room

This support group is for any man with a cancer diagnosis who is receiving treatment or is in recovery. Spouses and guests also are welcome. Registration is requested at lakeregional.com/Events. Call Lake Regional Cancer Center at 573-302-2772 for more information.

Grief Support Group

6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, Harper Chapel, 5567 Osage Beach Parkway, Osage Beach

This free support group helps participants move through grief caused by various losses, including illness, death, divorce and other difficult life events. Billye Bennett, R.N., leads the group. For more information, call Lake Regional Public Relations at 573-348-8222.

AHA Heartsaver CPR, AED, with Optional First Aid Course

8 a.m.–12 p.m. for CPR/AED and 12:30–3:30 p.m. for First Aid, Wednesday, Nov. 9, Lake Regional Hospital, third floor conference rooms

The morning session covers how to perform CPR on an adult, child and infant, and how to use an AED. If you also require first aid certification, stay for the afternoon session. Participants who demonstrate the covered skills receive a Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid course completion card. The cost for CPR, AED (morning only) is $40; the cost for CPR, AED, First Aid (all day) is $70. Registration is required. Baby, Breastfeeding & Beyond – Osage Beach

5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, Lake Regional Hospital, third floor conference rooms

This class is for women in their third trimester. Learn all about caring for a newborn in this interactive class. You’ll learn about breastfeeding, diapering, bathing, swaddling, car seat safety, comforting and much more. You also will learn what to expect after delivery and receive tools to help you thrive in the first few weeks of parenthood. Stroke Survivors Support Group

1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, Lake Regional Hospital, third floor conference rooms

This free support group is for anyone who has survived a stroke. Caregivers and loved ones also are welcome. Crystal Lloyd, R.N., Lake Regional’s stroke coordinator, leads the sessions. Participants receive information, share stories and tips with each other, and engage in activities to improve their quality of life. For more information, call 573-302-2959.

Hospice Grief Support Group

10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, Lake Regional Training Center, 1193 State Road KK

This free monthly support group is open to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. Licensed social workers and a chaplain will lead this class, using the “GriefWork: Healing from Loss” curriculum.
