The air show will not be held this year but an auction is being held to raise money for Veterans flights for next years show.

While the Lake of the Ozarks Air Show is not happening in person this year, an auction is being held to raise money to offer Veterans an experience at the event in 2022. The online auction will run from Sept. 1-7 and a silent auction will take place at the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. during the Run for the Fallen and airport open house and ribbon cutting being held that day. Funds raised from the auction will be used to increase the Veterans experience at the 2022 Air Show by providing them with a once in a lifetime ride in an authentic World War II aircraft. Club kickoff

The Newcomers/Longtimers annual kickoff event is scheduled for Sept. 16 at The Elks Lodge in Osage Beach. The event is an opportunity to get to know members of the organization and see what they are about. It will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. Watch for more information about the club in the next issue!

Circus

The circus is coming to Eldon Sept. 8 at the Miller County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by the Elks Lions Club there will be two 90-minute shows, 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate of $12 for adults and $7 for children and seniors at Central Bank in Eldon, the Eldon Chamber of Commerce and Citizens Bank in Eldon. m
