GOLF POLICIES
MEMBERS
A golf Member may make a tee time for a game with fellow Members or guests online on the Lake Nona ForeTees app or with the Professional Shop up to 30 days in advance. For reservations beyond 30 days, air travel must be involved and approval from the Director of Golf is required. ForeTees allows Members to reserve three tee times in a 30-day period. To reserve additional tee times, you must contact the Professional Shop. Standing tee times (the same reoccuring tee times in a 30-day period) are not permitted. All players must register with the Professional Shop prior to playing. Members are responsible for registering their guests with the Professional Shop.
GUESTS
A guest may play the golf course no more than one time per month or 10 times per year, regardless of the sponsoring Member. House guests (a guest that is staying in your home) and Lodge guests can play up to 10 times per year, but are not restricted to once a month. Club tournaments are not included in the count. This rule also applies to the use of the practice facilities including: the driving range, short-game areas, and putting greens. If guests are not booked with a tee time on that day, use of the practice facilities is prohibited.

CHARGING POLICIES
All Member purchases (personal cart fees, merchandise, along with food and beverage) must be charged to the Member’s account. All guest green fees and cart fees (accompanied and unaccompanied) must be charged to the Member’s account. Guests may purchase merchandise along with food and beverage with a credit card.
MONDAY CLOSURES
The Club and golf course have select Monday closures during the fall, winter, and spring season, with the exception of holidays. Dates will be announced and reflected on all Club calendars. The Club will continue its scheduled Monday closures through the summer months, as it has historically done. The Club reserves the right to close the golf course in consideration of charitable and corporate outings.
DRESS CODE
All players must be appropriately attired on the golf course and driving range at all times. For men and boys, Bermuda-length shorts or slacks, sports shirts with collars, sweaters, vests, golf jackets, etc. are acceptable. Hats are to be worn with the bill forward and shirts must be tucked in at all times. We kindly ask gentlemen to remove their hats when entering the Clubhouse. For women and girls, golf shorts, skirts, pants, and skorts are acceptable. Shirts with sleeves may have a round neck or collar; sleeveless shirts must have a collar. Ladies are permitted to wear hats in the Clubhouse. Swimwear, halter tops, tank tops, cut-off shorts, jeans, leggings, athletic shorts or slacks, T-shirts, flip-flops, sandals, and bare feet are not permitted.
GOLF CARTS
The Club maintains a fleet of electric-powered golf carts for Members and their guests which are strictly for use on the golf course only. Members and guests are charged a cart fee per seat. Members are expected to share a cart and pair up, unless there is an odd number of players in the group.
GOLF CARTS (Continued)
Members who reside within the Lake Nona Estates Community may operate a privately owned golf cart on the golf course or driving range (a cart fee or annual trail fee applies). All privately owned carts must initially be approved by the Director of Golf and then registered with the community security department on an annual basis. In order to operate a golf cart (Club-owned or privately owned) on the course, the driver must hold a valid driver’s license. All privately owned Club carts are not permitted for use around the community and are strictly prohibited from driving off golf course property. Cart privileges will be affected should this policy not be followed.
REQUEST FOR HANDICAP FLAGS
We are committed to providing an enjoyable and inclusive golfing experience for all our players. To accommodate golfers with physical disabilities, we allow the use of handicap flags on golf carts. Handicap flags are available to golfers with a valid state-issued handicap placard, a doctor’s note, or proof of a physical disability. To receive a handicap flag, players must register with the Professional Shop and sign an acknowledgment of this policy. Handicap flag must be displayed on cart at all times.
Golf carts with handicap flags may enter restricted areas to assist players but must adhere to the following restrictions:
• Carts must remain 20 ft. away from greens and completely off approaches and collars.
• Keep carts on paths around tees.
• Avoid steep slopes and wet areas to prevent damaging the course.
• During wet or inclement weather, handicap flag privileges may be modified or suspended to protect the course.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in the suspension or revocation of handicap flag privileges. Our staff will monitor compliance to ensure the course remains accessible and in excellent condition for all players.
TRAIL FEE
The trail fee at Lake Nona is an optional program for residents of the community with their own carts. Resident-Members may join the trail fee or pay a cart fee each time they use their personal cart on the golf course. This fee includes standard amenities such as water, sand, towels for your cart for each round and general pre- and post-round service of your carts via our golf services team. Guests and fellow Members will not be charged a cart fee if riding with a Member who is enrolled in the trail fee program.
PERSONAL CART SERVICES
On Fridays, a cart technician is available onsite for personal cart services. There are fees associated with any service, maintenance, or repair which are dependent on the needs of each cart. Please contact the Professional Shop to schedule a service with the cart technician.
PACE OF PLAY
The GPS-enabled golf carts are effective in monitoring the daily pace of play. By having complete vision of the movement of all carts, the professional staff can track players falling behind and can communicate to that cart directly, in addition to the ranger's efforts to ensure play remains at an enjoyable pace. As the USGA standard pace of play for Lake Nona is 4 hours and 10 minutes, we try to adhere to a maximum pace of 4 hours, a reasonable time for a round of golf. Should you be playing at a much faster pace, please be respectful of your fellow Members and allow them to play at our standard pace. If you have any concerns, Members are to contact the Professional Shop for assistance. In the interest of harmony and community within our Club, at no time, should Members police other Members.
BUNKERS
Select bunkers are designated as waste bunkers, or native areas, which become part of the general area of the course. In these areas, players may ground their clubs but must not improve their lie. Practice swings are permitted in waste bunkers as these are a general area. Waste bunkers are identified as:
• Bunker left of Hole 1 tee
• Bunker right of Hole 2 tee
• Bunkers left and right of Hole 8 fairway
• Bunker left of Hole 9 tee (runs into Hole 10).
• Bunker left of Hole 10 fairway
• Bunker left of Hole 11 fairway
All other bunkers remain as bunkers, which are defined in the USGA rules of golf as specially prepared areas of sand and will have rakes present.
MOBILE PHONE USAGE
The use of mobile phones on the golf course is strongly discouraged; however, if it must be used, the following courtesies apply:
• Mobile phones must set to silent mode when on the course.
• Calls must be made away from players and should not interrupt the pace of play.
WALKING POLICY
Members and their guests are permitted to walk the golf course.
JUNIOR PLAY
Juniors (children of Members under the age of 18) may play the golf course with a parent Member or adult Member during the times allocated for Members and guests. Juniors may play the golf course unaccompanied by the parent Member or adult Member dependent on their age and skill level. Juniors may be required to pass a player’s ability test, as administered by a member of the Lake Nona professional staff. Juniors under the age of 16, or without a valid U.S. driver’s license, are strictly prohibited from operating a golf cart either owned by the Club or a privately owned golf cart.
LOCKER ROOM FACILITIES
The Club has full-service locker room facilities for both men and ladies and their guests. Shoe care and minor repair (laces, spikes, etc.) are available daily. Annual locker rental is offered as space is available.
GOLF BAG STORAGE
Golf bag storage is available for Members and their guests at no charge.
HANDICAPS
All Lake Nona Members that wish to play in any Club-sponsored event must establish a U.S.G.A. handicap. The Club covers Golf Members' enrollment in the U.S.G.A. GHIN system. Members, and/or guests of Members, wishing to play in any Club event that does not have an established handicap may be denied entry or be assigned a handicap by the Handicap Committee. Please contact the Professional Shop for information on establishing a handicap.
OUTINGS
Lake Nona Golf & Country Club is available for golf outings on Mondays when the Club is closed. Please contact the Professional Shop for further information.
