Making New Friends Is Easy At Asturia
t has been less than a year since the first residents began moving into their new homes in Asturia, a beautiful master-planned community going up in Odessa. And, in that short time, homeowners have quickly become friends with their new neighbors, coming together at family events hosted by the developer, and enjoying the community’s many amenities, nature trails and playgrounds. To celebrate these new friendships, and to make new connections, Asturia has recently begun a unique monthly party they’ve christened “Front Porch Friday.” Front Porch Friday brings together residents, friends and folks looking to make Asturia their home for wine, appetizers and warm conversation. The next party is March 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at a beautiful Ashton Woods model home, located at 14835 Caravan Ave., in Asturia. Folks are invited to stop by and learn from residents why they chose Asturia as their new home. There is no cost to attend Front Porch Friday, although RSVPs are appreciated, which can be made at (813) 4468362. Chad and Sarah Raaymakers, Asturia’s very first residents, moved to the community last July from Oldsmar. The couple wanted to be closer to their work, and also wanted their two young children, George and Theo, to attend better schools.
“We love the area, and we love Asturia! We chose Asturia for the intimate feeling of neighborhood and its real sense of community,” said the Raaymakers.
