Put on Your Running Shoes For The Connerton Challenge

W

hether you run for fun, or seriously compete in sanctioned USA Track & Field events, the upcoming races at Connerton are ones you will not want to miss. Connerton is hosting its third annual 10K, 5K and Kids’ Fun Run on Saturday, November 5. The run begins at Club Connerton in north Land O’ Lakes. The certified, USATF course is for runners who want to record their times and establish a personal best. The volunteer organization uses 96 percent of the monies it collects to benefit veterans and their families. Families Celebrate at Asturia’s Fall Festival

I

t was a beautiful autumn weekend earlier this month when Asturia celebrated its very first Fall Festival on Oct. 15. New residents, future residents and families from neighboring communities joined in the fun with hundreds of children and their parents stuffing straw scarecrows, playing corn hole, bouncing in bounce houses, riding the kid train, having their faces painted, and enjoying arts and crafts. And, when they were done eating and playing, many families toured the beautiful model homes at Asturia.
