An exhibition of puppets and machines built by Marc Parrett Puppet maker, designer and musican Marc Parrett draws pictures of things he sees in his head, then he makes them when he gets back to his workshop. Come and see what appears in Marc’s head and perhaps make your own things at home…

A brand new Luminarium for Wheee! Pentalum, is based around the form of a pentagon. The main dome, the cupola is seven-sided and revisits the Islamic Muqarnas dome for its inspiration. Since 1992 Alan Parkinson’s Luminaria have visited 38 countries across 5 continents and been seen by over 2 million visitors. These extraordinarily beautiful structures have to be experienced to be believed!

Go to the Museum at Lakeside... Displays of archaeology from the region and an insight into the East Midlands over a 250,000 year period Take a walk round the lake or visit the Play Park... Please note the Play Park will be closed from 12noon - 4pm on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June for the performance of Spill - see page 3 of this leaflet. The performance is FREE, so why not go along and be amazed at the acrobatics and high energy gymnastics of the dancers as they scramble over and under the swings! Enjoy a drink and cake at one of our two cafes... The Gallery Cafe outside the Djanogly Gallery and the Pavilion Cafe near the lake, both offer hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks in a relaxing, family friendly atmosphere.
