In the spirit of “How Do We Measure a Year,” this year’s theme for our Report of Contributions, we have illustrated our report with an array of fun and creative images representing the Lakeside community’s Annual Fund gifts and their impact on a number of school programs. Each gift plays a part in enabling our school to attract and retain outstanding faculty, provide financial aid to students, and offer enriching opportunities in athletic, global, outdoor, and arts programs. Whether your generosity is expressed here through a beautiful image, a clever pun, or both, your gifts inspire all of us who work hard to ensure that each of our students has a promising future. So, good members of our donor community, thank you for the faith you place in all of us with every dollar you contribute to the school. We do not take your generosity and goodwill for granted, and we make every effort to use our resources wisely to offer our

LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Everyone counts

students a leading-edge education that will prepare them for the ever-changing world of the 21st century. We continually examine every program of the school, and we bring in outside review teams and make changes when we feel it is necessary—most recently in the language, PE, and arts departments. We also spent time and energy last year developing a master plan for the campus. Given the projected growth in the Seattle area over the next 20 years, we know that Lakeside will grow at some point and we are planning now for that growth. The planning for our performing arts initiative is also well underway. A lot is happening on campus and none of it would be possible without the generosity of our school community. Thank you so much for your support of the school! Our gratitude is immeasurable.

Cordially,

Bernie Noe P’07 ’09 Head of School
