01 Back To Future Graduation Project - Teamwork of 2 people Tartous - Syria

2014

Media used : Autocad , 3d Max , Photoshop , Illustrator , Vray

Project scope : The study of the development of rural communities in the Syrian Coast

Introduction : For more than 40 – 50 years there has been immigration from the village to the city. This project comes from the Syrian government’s approval for the national plan of the regional planning. Where the government agreed to a hilly axis as a foundation for a developmental axis, that parallels the Syrian coast axis and places in a group of coastal villages. This project aims to transfer the developmental activities in the future to this axis whether as an axis or as communities that pass by the axis. From here the idea of the project (Back to Future) came. We will plan developmentally and urbanely to back for this future like a picture in front of us as planned by the government.

Project structure

Investigation of the extent of the regional studies’ success in achieving the future vision for the national framework. The field of the study will be from regional to urban. It will be according to the following ranges: Mobility - Axis - Sectors - Priorities - Sectoral development - Urbanism - Path - Facilities

Mobility

The studies indicated that the population movement and what it represents from immigration and activities take a different character from Latakia as a governorate to Tartous as a governorate. Considering that our study is in the available time and labor frame, so it confines in Tartous Governorate

We informed the final axis and the regional surface with its urban area. So, we came out with the final development orientation

After selecting the axis, we noticed that it passes through different areas. So, we had to divide the region and the impact range which passes it to zones we called (Homogeneous Spatial Sectors) and that to ensure the success of the development

02 Conference Palace Fourth year - university Latakia - Syria

2013

Media used : Autocad , Photoshop , Illustrator

Project scope : Design a conference palace in Latakia governorate which includes two small amphitheaters and one big main amphitheater, besides meeting halls, administration offices, restaurant, library, and other public services

The concept : Considering the conference palace as the main building that covers local and international meetings. The idea was to create a special building for the world and a polarization center which reflects Syria with all its components, urban fabric, different cultures, and all the civilizations that passed on, to be a story for each visitor and a country mirror. The idea launched from the land (the story of history) with its different nature and geography, where each level reflects a country story and is a trip to know the history of the ancient country.

Media used : Autocad , Photoshop , Illustrator

Project scope : Design an aquatic museum in Latakia governorate which includes exhibitions, restaurants, administration offices, library, and other public services

The concept : Create a path from adventure and exploration which reflects the sea life and the deep-diving soul. The idea was to design separate units, each unit reflects a special mood, and by collecting it, it forms a path toward the depth represented by the water museum. At the end, it gets back towards the land by a secret pathway which links the sea with the ground as part of the continuation of this trip.

Citadel of Salah Ed-Din Cab Tarek Jeffe Architects - Individual work Al-Haffah - Latakia - Syria

2017

Media used : Autocad , 3d Max , Sketchup , Photoshop , Illustrator , Vray

Introduction : In 2006, the castle was made a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is an impregnable castle in enchanting mountains. It has great tourist importance and a big economic return to the region. For that, it was one of the best places to build up a cable car path. So, it would be an area attraction and would activate and rehabilitate the surrounding villages to be an active and economically integrated region from its advantages, possibilities, and integrated historical series

Project scope : Establish a tourist path with a developmental dimension to activate the strong points in the area and achieve an integrated magnetic circle from the activities that confirm reviving heritage and history of the area and therefore economic lifting of the region. All that by suggesting a cable car as recreational transportation that facilitates the connection between the region and the castle, so it activates the geographical advantage of the place with the easiest equipment, a lower cost, and strong investment returns

ble Car

The focus of the study was on determining the best cable car path based on spatial and geographical studies, and the geographical factor was emphasized for its importance in achieving the optimal direction and construction of the path, and the emphasis on the archaeological and natural character of the castle, which is the main factor in attracting visitors.

All the historical phases of the castle were shown represented by the layers of the ground. The idea had been projected by galleries, each one specified by showing one of these historical phases. The sketch points to the transition between those phases starting from underneath the ground that represents the Byzantine period towards up which represents the Islamic period and then crossing the French period.
