THE MEN OF RICK AND THE GRIFFOPOTAMUS SET OUT ON THEIR NEXT ADVENTURE

BY PHIL BESSIMER

HUSBANDS RICK TWOMBLEY AND GRIFF KING SHARE AN OBVIOUS AFFINITY FOR MUSCLE BOOTIES, BUT AS FANS OF THEIR WILDLY POPULAR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE, RICK AND THE GRIFFOPOTAMUS, WILL ATTEST TO, MORE GOES INTO THE MAKING OF THEIR SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIP.

Key ingredients are respect, honesty, loyalty, and, according to the guys, embracing the fact that while they and their relationship can never be perfect, they are right for one another.

Oh, and they also like to be playful, as illustrated in their finely crafted, visually stimulating, evocative images. This month they continue the salacious fun with their latest venture, Two Kings Unlimited. We spoke with them from their Atlanta home.

HOW DID YOU TWO FIRST MEET?

Griff: We met at the gym. Rick had just started his personal training company, and I was the general manager at one of the more popular gay gyms. I was looking to bring in new trainers. Rick walked into the gym and I saw the most beautiful man standing before me. We started a casual friendship and a few months after that, he asked me out on a date. Nearly eight years later, we’re approaching our fourth wedding anniversary.

WHAT LED TO YOUR DECISION TO MAKE YOUR RELATIONSHIP PUBLIC WITH RICK AND THE GRIFFOPOTAMUS?

Rick: I caught Griff on camera lip syncing “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid, posted it on my socials and it went viral. Right away, I recognized the potential to create a virtual stage for us to entertain people.

DID YOU DRAW INSPIRATION FROM KIM K?

Rick: Not really. Of course, she’s influenced the way everyone uses social media, but our inspirations come more from theater, art and erotica.

WHAT ARE SOME CHALLENGES THAT YOU ENCOUNTER WITH LIVING AND WORKING TOGETHER?

Griff: It’s a huge challenge to be in a marriage that is also a business partnership. We have to be very conscious of when we have on our work and our husband hats, especially because we are literally together nearly twenty-four hours a day, every day.

Rick: Beyond being husbands and co-workers, we’re also best friends. So even when we annoy each other or get upset, we’d still rather be with each other than with nearly anyone else...even when we have to hide all the sharp objects in the house.

WHO IS THE MOST OBSESSED WITH GETTING LIKES ON THE PAGE?

Rick: Neither of us is obsessed with likes. Validation isn’t our motivation with our social media. We’re trying to have fun, build a business and entertain people. Anyone is free to enjoy the misadventure and fantasy, but we are also aware that what we do isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok! We keep our focus on the creativity and message we want to send, not on how many people are liking things.

WHEN DID YOU LAUNCH YOUR ONLYFANS PAGE?

Griff: In 2017. A good friend of ours asked if we’d heard of it, but we hadn’t. Rick looked into it and we decided to give it a try, experiment and see what we were comfortable sharing with our fans; which ended up being just about everything. It’s a space where our fans can see a lot deeper into our personal lives, connect with us, workout with us, sing along with us, cook with us, and feel like they share in some of our more intimate moments. We’ve always been very sex positive and confident, so Onlyfans and Rick and Griff ended up being a very successful marriage. As of now, our fan page has 4,000 subscribers.

Griff: Two Kings is actually a play on our last name. After we got married, we became the Twombley-Kings...which, by pure chance, is Two Kings when abbreviated. We added the “Unlimited” because we don’t believe in letting societal boundaries hold us back from achieving success!

WHAT DO YOU HAVE COOKING AT TWO KINGS UNLIMITED?

erotic playing card set, calendars... We are also in production with our own line of onesies and our prize project; an erotic coffee table book featuring images from photographers like Mike Ruiz, Michael Stokes and Mack Sturgis, among others.

WHERE AND HOW WILL YOU TWO KINGS SPEND THE SUMMER?

Rick: We’ll be hard at work, growing our social media platforms and our fan pages, bringing our followers the content they love.

Griff: We also plan to focus on our regular life, which is the 99.99% of our life that no one sees on social media. We’ll be decorating our new home, spending time with our two kitties Willow and Ripley and of course, with each other.
