ARRIVING IN L.A. by train from rural Central California, the young psychic had no dreams of finding fame as the star of Hollywood Medium. “I had this unique ability,” he says, “[but] I was gay; I was very di erent from my surroundings. L.A. was a bit of a reprieve from all of that.” Henry was 19 when the E! series began, and across four seasons, he performed over 200 celebrity readings, from Kardashians to kickboxers. The hardest to read? “Comedians.” In his new series, Netflix’s Life After Death with Tyler Henry, he focuses on readings for average folks. “Everybody has questions,” he says. —S.A.
