What support and pastoral care is on offer for students?
We have a Student Wellbeing Manager, Race Equality Officer, Lead Practitioner (Inclusive Practice) and Student Services Manager there to assist students and applicants. Once you arrive at LAMDA you’ll also benefit from the support of a Personal Tutor and Student Reps. It’s hugely important to us that every student and member of staff feels part of the growing LAMDA family, supported and nurtured throughout their time at the school and beyond. We actively encourage alumni to stay part of our network as they flourish and produce wonderful work that represents the wealth of talent and skills found inside the walls of LAMDA.
What are the audition panel looking for?
At LAMDA we’re not looking for particular qualifications or grades, as long as you’re passionate about developing your talent and skills. People come to us via all sorts of different routes, we don’t mind if you’re coming to us straight from school or college or have been out of education for a while. Our training is vocational, thorough and collaborative. We’re looking for a readiness to work and a capability to work as part of a group. We welcome applications from everyone.
What academic support will I receive?
Our student and academic services team provides access to a full range of appropriate academic support, including study skills support for learners with neurodiversities including dyslexia and dyspraxia, and other physical equipment or software needed. Student and academic services also arrange access to any specialist help needed to support your physical or mental wellbeing, such as physiotherapy, vocal health or counselling. You’ll also have free online support with our digital health and well-being platform.
