Product care for Lammhults products Our furniture is built to last. Care for your furniture in line with these instructions, preferably using ecolabelled cleaning products.
Cleaning and maintenance of melamine and high pressure laminate (Lightly soiled - Daily cleaning) - Wet a cloth in water containing mild all-purpose cleaner, soap or washing-up liquid. - Wring out the cloth and wipe the surface. - Dry with a clean dry cloth. (Heavily soiled - Thorough cleaning) - Wipe of any loose dirt. - Wet a cloth in water containing mild all-purpose cleaner. Wring out the cloth. - Dab the damp cloth in the detergent and wipe to dissolve all the dirt. On satin, interior and other longitudinal structured surfaces, wipe along the the grain. - Wet a clean cloth in clean water, ideally with some window cleaner and wipe again. - Wipe dry with a clean cloth. For heavily soiled structured surfaces, clean with a soft brush. NB: Do not use scouring agents or other detergents which contain abrasives. Removing pen marks - Use an ecolabelled stain and graffiti remover to remove felt tip and marker pen. - Use a pencil eraser to remove pencil marks.
Cleaning and maintenance of furniture treated with water-based lacquer or stain Your furniture has been surface treated with water-based lacquer or stain. To maintain the original finish, the surface must be cleaned regularly. - Use a slightly damp cloth and a few drops of very mild cleaning detergent. Do not leave liquid on the surface. - Wipe with water and dry with a soft cloth - Dry with a clean dry cloth. NB: Do not use scouring agents or other detergents which contain abrasives. Also avoid detergents that contain ammonia.
Cleaning and maintenance of furniture such as table tops treated with acid-resistant lacquer Your furniture has been surface treated with water-based lacquer or stain. To maintain the original finish, the surface must be cleaned regularly. - Use a damp cloth and a mild cleaning detergent. Do not leave liquid on the surface. - Wipe with water and dry with a soft cloth. NB: Do not use scouring agents or other detergents which contain abrasives. Cleaning and maintenance of plastic - backs, seats and seat shells (Lightly soiled - Daily cleaning) - Wet a cloth in water containing mild all-purpose cleaner, soap or washing-up liquid. - Wring out the cloth and wipe the surface. - Dry with a clean dry cloth. (Heavily soiled - Thorough cleaning) - Wipe off any loose dirt. - Wet a cloth in water containing mild all-purpose cleaner, wring. - Dab the damp cloth in mild detergent and wipe to dissolve the dirt. - Wet a clean cloth in clean water, ideally with some window cleaner and wipe again. - Wipe dry with a clean cloth. Removing pen marks - Use an ecolabelled stain and graffiti remover to remove felt tip and marker pen. - Use a pencil eraser tom remove pencil marks.
Cleaning and maintenance of chromium plated, polished or powder-coated surfaces (Regular care) - Dampen a clean cloth with window cleaner. - Wipe the surface. - Dry with a clean dry cloth.
Cleaning and maintenance of Linoleum (During and after assembly) - Immediately remove any marks and fingerprints resulting from the assembling process. - Use a damp cloth and a PH-neutral cleaning detergent. - Wipe the surface dry after cleaning. (Regular care) - Moisten with a damp cloth. For light soiling use a soap-based cleaner diluted with water, washing-up liquid, lino soap or a PH-neutral cleaner. Immediately remove spillages and marks. Ideally use a coaster for glasses, cups etc. where spillage can occur. For though stains like ink and pencil, use a clean cloth and a neutral cleaning detergent and gently rub the mark. NB: Do not use alkaline (basic) cleaning detergents. For heavier stains and very thin scratches, use a clean cloth and turpentine, then dry with linseed oil soap. We recommend to regularly maintain the surface with Forbo’s own linseed oil soap for linoleum, it gives a saturated surface.
Cleaning and maintenance of textile/leather Textiles and leather are chosen by the costumer and vary in material, quality and so on. Therefore, please check care instructions with manufacturer of the textile/leather in question.
