Instructions on how to submit your video to Panhellenic Step 1: Record your Video Helpful tips when filming your self-recorded video: • Videos should be a maximum of 3 minutes • Record videos using a smartphone or similar device (laptops with webcams also work). Do not use professional/third-party services to record or edit the video • Backgrounds of videos should be neutral so eliminate distractions • Be mindful of noise to ensure the viewers can hear you • Be mindful of lighting to ensure the viewers can see you • Videos should only include the woman interested in sorority recruitment • Be yourself! Once you have filmed your video and it is complete, you will need to upload your video to YouTube.
Step 2: Upload your Video to Youtube 1. If you do not have a YouTube account, you will need to create one. If you have a Gmail account, it is easy to create a YouTube account. 2. After you have created an account, click on the Profile Icon in the top right corner (this may have your photo or your first name initial) and select “your channel” 3. Select upload video a. If you already have an account and have uploaded videos before, you will need to click on the Video Camera Icon in the top right corner near your Profile Icon 4. Click “select files” or drag and drop the file to upload 5. Title your video: [First Name] [Last Name] USC Upstate Sorority Recruitment Video 2020 to keep it simple and identifiable (example: Jane Doe USC Upstate Sorority Recruitment Video 2020) a. It is optional to add a description b. You can change the thumbnail if you want 6. If you are asked if the video was made for children, select no. 7. Click next, and next again to get to the “visibility” page 8. On the “visibility” page, select the “unlisted” option and save the video a. Selecting the “unlisted” option will ensure that only the people who have your video link will be able to see the video 9. Copy the video link 10. Email the video link to UpstatePanRecruitment@gmail.com with the subject line being the same as the name of the video: [First Name] [Last Name] USC Upstate Sorority Recruitment Video 2020
