John Doyle John Doyle is not only a fine singer but more importantly, an imaginative and original songwriter who really grabs audiences with his ability to tell a story through song. Steve Gibbons Band Unique and timeless – the legend that is Steve Gibbons has withstood the fads and fashions of the music business for over four decades. Analyse his music and superb self-penned songs and you’ll find the influences of blues, country and even psychedelia. Saturday 19 September 8pm £14.

Dean Friedman - In Concert This legendary, singer/songwriter – known for charttopping hits, ‘Ariel’, ‘Lucky Stars’, ‘Lydia’ and ‘Woman of Mine’, performs songs from throughout his three decade career. Expect an evening of powerful, poignant, hilarious songs about the ordinary and extraordinary lives we share. Thursday 24 September 7.30pm £25.

Gerry Cross the Mersey Gerry talks about his early beginnings in Liverpool, those heady days of the 60s and up to the present. Hear all Gerry’s greatest hits mixed with his stories, jokes and anecdotes from his years at the top.

International Guitar Festival Workshop In an intimate setting, Brian Gore, Andre Krengel, Mike Dawes and Lulo Reinhardt will provide a background on the cultural influences and approach to composition and arrangement for each player. The workshop will also provide a hands on overview of some basic and advanced techniques in guitar playing. Suitable for experienced players. Limited to 15 people. International Guitar Night For 16 years, the International Guitar Night’s Brian Gore has invited a new cast of guitar luminaries from around the world to join him for special concert tours highlighting the diversity of acoustic guitar.

Kast Off Kinks The Kast off Kinks are former members of the legendary band ‘The Kinks’. Expect all the hits, including: ‘You Really Got Me’, ‘Dedicated Follower of Fashion’, ‘Waterloo Sunset’, ‘Come Dancing’ and many more.

Sounds of Simon All The Hits 1957-1987 A tribute to the wonderful music of Simon and Garfunkel. From ‘Hey Schoolgirl’ released in 1957, all the way through to the hits from the Gracelands album, they are all here: ‘The Sounds of Silence’, ‘Homeward Bound’, ‘Scarborough Fair’ and into Paul Simon’s amazing solo career with songs like ‘Late in the Evening’ and ‘Fifty Ways to Leave your Lover’. Sunday 4 October 7.30pm £14.


A Splendid Day Out Victorian and Steampunk Market The League of Splendid is proud to present more of the Steampunk and Victorian shenanigans that has become its trademark. Be overwhelmed at the artisanship of the cornucopia of skilled traders. Indulge in the genteel contest that is tea-duelling, marvel at the stylish attire, be entertained by the acts that will be playing for your pleasure all day, and gorge yourselves on wonderful tea and cakes. King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys Rough, tough and always rocking, the legendary King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys zany stage show sometimes belies the fact that here is the finest, most authentic rhythm & blues band ever to come from outside the USA.

Former group members Billy Mitchell and Ray Laidlaw tell The Lindisfarne Story from the very beginning featuring acoustic versions of the classic songs and ‘behind the scenes’ stories, all illustrated with archive video and stills. If you are a fan of Lindisfarne, UK rock groups and the music of the 60s and 70s, then this show is for you. Saturday 17 October 7.30pm £18.50.

Bay City Rollers - starring Les Mckeown The music of the Bay City Rollers became the soundtrack for a generation of teenagers growing up in the mid-70s. The face and voice of that soundtrack belonged to Les McKeown. With Les leading the way, massive hits such as ‘Bye Bye Baby’, ‘Shang A Lang’, ‘Summer Love Sensation’ and ‘Give A Little Love’ propelled the band to world-wide superstardom. The Lindisfarne Story


Darkside ‘The Pink Floyd Show’ The show promises to be a spectacular evening of Pink Floyd classics from the band’s idiosyncratic almost 50 year back -catalogue with a journey which will visit the early days of Floyd founder Syd Barrett through to the creative influence of Roger Waters with the bestselling album Dark Side of the Moon and onto the later years steered by David Gilmour. Saturday 24 October 8pm £15.

The Searchers in Concert With record sales of over 50 million, The Searchers remarkable career continues. Join them for an evening of their classic hits; ‘Sweets For My Sweet’; ‘Needles and Pins’; ‘Don’t Throw Your Love Away’; ‘Sugar and Spice’ and ‘When You Walk In The Room’. It promises to be an entertaining evening with anecdotes and world famous songs. Friday 30 October 7.30pm £19.50

Elbow Jane Hailing from Merseyside their unique blend of bouzouki, mandolin, guitar, keyboards and percussion is complemented by expressive vocals and stunning harmonies ensuring that they are firm favourites at festivals and clubs nationwide. They’ve featured on BBC Radio 2 with Mike Harding and on the Good Morning Sunday programme. Saturday 31 October 7.30pm £14.

The Swinging Blue Jeans Show Do the ‘Hippy Hippy Shake’ with The Swinging Blue Jeans and rock along with other top hits including ‘Good Golly Miss Molly’, ‘You’re No Good’ and many more. Plus ‘The Paul Hayes Collection’ are performing as a support act! This is vintage rock and roll at its best! Includes a hotpot supper. Friday 6 November 7.30pm £16. 14+


Morecambe Brass Band Remembrance Concert Join Morecambe Brass Band for their traditional concert of remembrance. Proceeds are donated to the British Legion Poppy Appeal, Burma Star Association and other local ATC and the Army and Navy cadets. Saturday 7 November 7.30pm £12, £10 concession, £6 child.

Doug Allan ‘Life Behind the Lens’ Adventures, encounters and insights from the award winning cameraman whose TV credits include: Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Life, Human Planet, Ocean Giants, Frozen Planet, Operation Iceberg and Wild Cameramen at Work. Sir David Attenborough said recently “For me, wildlife cameramen don’t come much more special than Doug. There’s just no one else who knows these frozen worlds as he does”. Tuesday 10 November 7.30pm £17.50, £15.50.

Hugh Cornwell Acoustic Hugh Cornwell is one of the UK’s finest song writing talents and accomplished live performers. As the original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in The Stranglers, he’s enjoyed massive success with 10 hit albums and 21 Top Forty singles including: ‘Peaches’, ‘No More Heroes’, ‘Golden Brown’, ‘Nice N’ Sleazy’, ‘Always the Sun’ and ‘Duchess’. Thursday 12 November 7.30pm £20.

Ralph McTell Ralph McTell celebrates 50 years as a professional musician and this quintessential singer-songwriterguitarist is back on tour. Ralph’s shows feature beautifully crafted narrative songs, combined with guitar playing and evocative storytelling, and will of course include the Ivor Novello award winning ‘Streets of London’. Friday 13 November 8pm £20.

The Moonlight Serenade Orchestra present ‘Sounds of Glenn Miller and the Big Bands’ The Moonlight Serenade Orchestra UK returns bringing you an evening of classic 1930s – 1950s big band swing, elegant vocals and the gentle humour our bandleader Kevin Cunningham is known for. Dancing shoes optional but encouraged. Saturday 21 November 7.30pm £14.50.

Ian McMillan and Ian Beesley ‘Magic Lantern Tales’ Using a genuine magic lantern projector, poet & broadcaster Ian McMillan and documentary photographer Ian Beesley tell a story of the First World War from the point of view of men who survived it and lived on to old age and a changing world. “The past and the present come together in pictures and poems of work and play and war and loss. The room will be dark but the pictures and poems will light up the spirit.” Ian McMillan Thursday 26 November 7.30pm £12.50, £10 concession.


Lady Sings the Blues “Lady Sings The Blues is a tribute to the memory of Billie Holiday in the best possible way – presenting the songs she sang in the style of her period. Expect an evening with six of Europe’s finest jazz musicians and a most remarkable singer” Dave Gelly, The Observer. This concert features thirty songs from the wonderful Billie Holiday repertoire from the 30s, 40s and 50s. Friday 27 November 7.30pm £14.

Promenade Concert Orchestra ‘Popular Theme Music’ By audience demand, the PCO presents another programme of popular radio, television and film themes from the last 60 years of light-orchestral music-making, including themes for ‘The Archers’, ‘Radio 4 Theme’, ‘Shipping Forecast’, ‘Dr Findlay’s Case-book’, ‘Rediffusion March’, ‘Dick Barton Special Agent’, ‘Desert Island Discs’, ‘In Town Tonight’, ‘Meet the Huggets’, ‘Schindler’s List’, ‘Pink Panther’, ‘Gigi’ and many more. Houghton Weavers The UK’s leading comedy/folk group weave together popular folk songs, humour and audience participation. Comprising Tony Berry, David Littler and Steve Millington who in their four decades together have recorded over 30 albums. 2015 marks the bands 40 years together with a landmark tour which, in addition to their “Keep Folk Smiling’ motto, is expected to include some surprises along the way! Limehouse Lizzy Supported by Power Trip Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide. The band have also added a tribute into their show to ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist (and world renowned solo artist) Gary Moore. Johnny Cash Roadshow The only show to be endorsed by the CASH family! Welcome back the Johnny Cash Roadshow featuring respected singer/songwriter Clive John. Promenade Concert Orchestra ‘New Year Viennese Concert’ A return visit to the glamour of 19th century Vienna and music from the Strauss family and associates, including ‘Die Fledermaus’ overture, ‘Voices of Spring’ and ‘Emperor’ waltz, ‘Thunder and Lightning’ polka, another waltz by Waldteufel and even an English ‘Waltz’ and lots more to warm your spirits for the new year! Voodoo Room Voodoo Room are a new and exciting classic power trio, paying tribute to both Hendrix and Cream. Magic – A Kind of Queen ‘Queen’s Greatest Hits’ Magic perform completely live. With five vocals to back up the powerful lead vocal of the dynamic Roger Brown, Magic can recreate all the complex harmonies that are Queen’s trademark recording sound.
