POPOVSKY PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS
Popovsky Performing Arts Studio Camps at LCDS
Join us this summer in our new summer camp performance space, Lancaster Country Day School’s state-of-the-art Gardner Theatre. Not only will campers get to experience the magic of being part of a musical production, but they’ll be introduced to the technical elements of theater, including lights, curtains, microphones, and more! This change allows us to do so much more with campers, and we can’t wait for you to be a part of the magic!

Our fun, educational, enriching summer camp programs focus on guiding performers as they develop skills, gain confidence, and build community. Students’ creativity is nurtured by building a strong foundation in acting, singing, and dance. Performers of all experience levels are given opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed on and off the stage.
People of every race, gender identity, sexual orientation, faith, and nationality are welcome and safe at PPAS, and we happily welcome neurodiverse students.

ABOUT THIS CAMP:
Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.
