enVision Math enVision math brings math to real life. This math program uses real life situations to help students learn math. enVision math uses a book and ditigal resourses like a online book, games, and songs to help remember information.

Here is a video that the students would watch to go along with their lessons.

GlenIntDiss Glenco Interactive Dissections

Katie Pruitt

Glenco Interactive Dissections Glenco Interactive Dissections is a very interesting site teachers and students can use to learn about science in an interactive way without the mess of an actual dissection. - This can be used to show where different bones, muscles, ect..can be located on frogs and earthworms.

Glenco Interactive Dissections Offers • 'Melt-away' layers reveal individual structures and give students total control. • Professionally dissected organisms enhance and clarify anatomy and structures that may be difficult to visualize during dissection.

• Allow unlimited practice, quizzes, animations, and more • The frog dissection is leveled for either middle school or high school use.

Glenco Interactive Dissection Here is an active link to get a better understanding and an overview of the program.

Earth Science Create an Earthquake and Create a Volcano

Stacey Michel

Creating an Earthquake *Make a Quake allows teachers and students to make an earthquake. *In this simple simulation, you choose the ground on which to build your building and which quakeproofing technological prevention to employ. You can then subject it to three levels of quake intensity and see how it stands up! *Make a Quake can be used to show students the awareness of the effect of knowing geological information. After doing this simulation, students will have a better understanding of Earthquake awareness. http://dsc.discovery.com/guides/planetearth/earthquake/interactive/interactive.html

Volcano Eruptions *Explore a Virtual Volcano helps teachers and students create a simualtion of a volcano eruption. *Try your hand at creating the different types of volcanoes and their varied eruptions. Change the viscosity and gas levels below, and then hit the “set conditions button to see your volcano. *Magma viscosity and gas content are factors in the shape and explosiveness of a volcano. This project provides a simplified look at volcanoes, gives an inside look at volcanoes, volcano types, and a global perspective of volcanoes. http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/pompeii/interactive/interactive.html

MathBits & Ask Dr. Math By Sarah Hall

MathBits http://mathbits.com/ It is often difficult to find fun, interesting websites dealing with secondary and college level mathematics. MathBits.com is a site which offers fun, yet challenging lessons and activities in these ares. It includes Jr. High math, pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, pre-Calc, and Calculus.

Ask Dr. Math

http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/drmath.high.html This website contains answers to thousands of questions pertaining to all areas of mathematics, from elementary to college levels. There are over 200 mathematical subjects covered. There is a search engine to find questions regarding specific areas, and a place to write your own question if the answer cannot be found.

•

MathBits is a site that can be helpful during classroom time and at home. It can quickly produce answers and visuals to otherwise complex problems. This could be used in class disscusion when explaining examples. Once students are familiar with this site, they go find extra practice work through the games and lessions. It is often difficult to find extra help in the higher up math subjects such as trigonometry and calculus. • Ask Dr. Math gives students an idependence for finding answers to their questions. Often when a teacher is not available, there is no one else qualified enough to ask for trigonometry or calculus help. This website supplies answers to complex, advanced mathematics for students and even teachers.
