Texas Two-Step

Jimmy Fuchs, Broker Land InvesTex, LLC

Success rests on persistence and the evaluation of conflicting information.

Where do you live? In San Antonio, Texas

Where do you work? I specialize in representing buyers and sellers in the Texas Hill Country, South-Central Texas, Southeast Texas and the land in between.

What drew you to ranch and recreational real estate? Growing up around livestock, farming, hunting and fishing eliminates the possibility of being fulfilled without it.

What makes the corner of the world where you work special? The combination of varied terrain, good people and the sound and smell of a Texas Hill Country thunder shower

What are the three most important tools in a ranch broker’s kit? Listening, experience and hard work

If you could call anywhere on the planet home, where would it be? Why? Texas, because of the variety of terrain and the people’s firmness of conviction

What’s the most profound lesson you’ve learned from the land or its people? The natural order of the outdoors, along with the grounded people that live there, are the definition of honesty and reality.

Listener or talker? So far, we haven’t learned anything while talking.

If you had one extra hour of time per day, how would you use it? Fishing with my grandson

Would you rather be without Internet for a week or your phone? Internet. Communication is valuable; the phone allows for conscious communication.

If you could give one sentence advice about how to live life, what would that be? Faith, family, friends and freedom

Describe your perfect work day. Seeing the sunrise on the way to show a ranch before meeting buyers and sellers for their closing. Then watching the sunset on the drive home to find everybody is happy.

What is your most memorable deal to date? Land Investex saved a deal from termination by purchasing a soft start irrigation well controller system. Two good families were very pleased the transaction closed.
