Using an Idea Rating Scale to Help Focus Your Online Marketing Working with clients to come up with marketing strategies can be fun and inspirational, but at Landau Design Reviews we sometimes find the ideas are too plentiful. Too many directions at once dilutes the marketing result, and so we created this worksheet to help clients find a way to hone in on the best ideas. The idea with the worksheet is to write down all the ideas you have, and then rate them based on how much you love the idea. The more you love the idea, the better chance you have of putting your all into seeing it through. Business Idea Descriptions Use as much detail as you want to describe your business ideas. Organize similar ideas together into group (for example, services, classes, products, etc).

Rating scale: 1. This idea is dry as toast for me. If I must do it, I will, but it feels boring, like I’ve been doing it a 100 years. This is more of a practical idea that my mind says is good, but my heart really isn’t into it. 2. This is an okay idea. I don’t feel the adrenaline surge when I think about it, but my mind says it might be good for the business. I’m not really confident this is the best idea for me. If I can’t think of anything else, I’ll go with this one. 3. This is a really good idea. I am still mulling it over a bit, but I will look at my calendar to see when I will work on it. I’m sure I could turn it into something that would grow my business and would be fun to do. 4. I really like this idea a lot. I am eager to get started on it. I have looked at my calendar to see when would be good for me to work on it. 5. I absolutely LOVE this idea! I think about it as I go about my daily tasks and can’t wait to get back to making it a reality. I am rearranging my schedule to make time to work on it! Once you have uncovered which ideas are your favorite, then you can move forward to implement those.
