Student Internship Programme. Assisted project architect with interior design for office & gym zones of HometeamNS (Khatib). GOOGLE PROJECT @ GOOGLE ASIA PACIFIC TheNode | Sep 2017 2 week project at Google Asia Pacific. In a team of 5, we looked at opportunities to create innovations based on a low tech smart office concept for 48 Googlers. Research and design available on my portfolio.
I have a strong interest in modern regionalist design, local materials and finely-crafted details. Celebrating humble materials, subtle contrasts and employing a minimalist approach to details inspired by the site and natural surroundings.

ISSUE STAYALONE ELDERLY | RISK OF SOCIAL ISOLATION There is an increasing number of stay-alone elderly due to Singapore’s ageing population. Feelings of disconnection & the lack of social interaction have also led to an increase in the number of mental & physical problems such as social isolation, dementia & chronic disease. With the lack of physical measures integrating the elderly to the wider community, the number of seniors aged 65 and above who live by themselves has tripled since 2000, from 14,500 to 42,100. Currently, more than 9% of Singapore’s population are already at risk of issues related to isolation.

Sectional Perspective
DESIGN STATEMENT Court-Haus is a mixed-use recreational space that offers community living for stay-alone elderly who are at high risk of social isolation. It aims to encourage intergenerational bonding by engaging seniors through aspects of ďŹ tness, communal cooking & gardening. Reintegrating the elderly to the wider community, residents can actively come together to exercise, chat or tend community farms, promoting active ageing in place.
